A Drama Performance to Live in Your Memory. Once Again Our School

A Drama performance to live in your memory.

Once again our school Hall is being transformed into a theatre with tiered seating and a magnificent stage and lighting for the forthcoming drama performance of at 7.00pm on the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday 8th and 9th March.

We have chosen this age-old but up-to-date adaptation to tickle the fancy of all comers to this hilarious tale of romance, intrigue and unrequited love, separated identical twins – a forerunner of all dramatic farces which have entertained audiences for centuries.

With snazzy costumes and quick-fire responses we are sure you will warm to characters like , , , , Valentine, , and many other delightful characters together with a world first (for St John’s that is) performance of Mr Francis Taylor’s specially formed ukulele band.

This is a performance not to be missed – a sort of culture injection with a great deal of rollicking fun which is sure to dismiss any reservations you may have about the relevance of Shakespeare’s contribution to our literary heritage. Many of your children are already becoming well-versed with in-depth studies of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, , , and so may indeed surprise you with some of their polished delivery of the Bard’s Elizabethan language.

Do come and join us for this drama production which our students have been rehearsing for months in order to provide you with an evening’s entertainment that should be one of the highlights of your theatre-going experience.

We look forward to seeing you on one of the evenings or both!
