Scheduling Your Shadow Day

The Notre Dame Shadow Program helps young men in 8th grade get a realistic view of a typical day at Notre Dame College Prep. A shadow visiting ND will be assigned a host student who will bring him to all of his classes. The Shadow Day begins at 8:15 am and lasts until 1:30 pm. Shadows are responsible for their own transportation. A free lunch will be provided by Notre Dame for each shadow. Shadow Days begin in the third week of September and continue through April (7th graders are restricted to shadowing in the spring). The number of shadows who can be accommodated on a given day is limited so reserve your preferred date as soon as possible. Large groups from a select elementary school are welcome to shadow at Notre Dame. Those arrangements must be made seperately!

Shadow Day Procedures 1. Call Mrs. LaVerne Bontempo at (847) 779-8615 to select a date for visiting Notre Dame. Reserva- tions to shadow should be made at least 1 week to your visit. This is to ensure that we have every- thing in place to make your visit an enjoyable experience. 2. After arranging your date to shadow with Mrs. Bontempo, fill out the reservation form at the bot- tom of this page and get all of the appropriate signatures.

3. Bring this completed form with you on the day of your visit. Please arrive at our main entrance ( Dempster St.) no later than 8:15 am. You need to be dressed in Docker- pants with a belt and a solid colored shirt with a . Gym shoes are acceptable footwear.
