The New York International Antiquarian Book Fair - opening soon on March 8th!

The Book Fair Opens Tomorrow at 5pm!

Join us for a Highlights Tour and view some of the amazing wonders that will be on display starting March 8!

A tour of highlights of the Book Fair by Benjamin Taylor

Sunday, March 11 at 3pm. Tour is free with paid admission to the fair. Tickets are very limited.

BENJAMIN TAYLOR is the author, most recently, of a family memoir, The Hue and Cry at Our House. He has also published Proust: The Search, named a Best Book of 2016 by in The New York Times Book Review; Naples Declared: A Walk Around the Bay, named a Best Book of 2012 by Judith Thurman in ; and two award-winning novels, Tales Out of School and The Book of Getting Even. He previously edited : Letters, named a Best Book of 2010 by Michiko Kakutani in The New York Times and Jonathan Yardley in The Washington Post, and Saul Bellow: There Is Simply Too Much to Think About: Collected Nonfiction. A faculty member in ’s Graduate School of Writing, Taylor also teaches in the Graduate Writing Division of the School of the Arts at . A past fellow and current trustee of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, he has recently been named president of the Edward F. Albee Foundation.

Lovely contemporary tan Morocco, sumptuously gilt by Hardy (stamp-signed in gilt on front turn-in), covers gilt with wide dentelle frame composed of floral and scrolling tools, gilt arms of the 12th Duke of Hamilton (1845-95) at center of each cover, raised bands, spine richly gilt, one black and one maroon morocco label, all edges gilt. Each page ruled in gold. Brunet I, 1705.

Special Event - Discovery Day Sunday, March 11, 1pm-3pm A favorite tradition, Discovery Day gives ticketed visitors the opportunity to bring their own rare books, manuscripts, maps, etc. (up to 5 items) Exhibitors will be on hand to offer expert advice and free appraisals.
