UK (BACHELOR OF BUSINESS)

“Living here in the Western Sydney University Village in Parramatta, I have really learned how to be independent, living away from home in another country. I have had to buy food for myself, and I am slowly learning how to cook. I was initially a really bad cook but I am going quite well now; I can’t depend on my mum and sisters. “It is really easy to make friends here - you bump into people at meals and in your classes. It’s such a welcoming environment. I have made so many friends from Australia and also from all over Europe. When I travel in Australia, I will have friends to stay with and also when I go back home to the UK. “I have already gone travelling in New Zealand with some of the friends I made here. Back home, I have friends I have known for years and never travelled with and now I was travelling with people I had known for only a few months. It was kind of surreal but we really had an amazing time. I especially loved Queenstown. “I was also quite successful on my exams which was quite a relief, and now I have just got a job as a Residence Assistant which means I will be helping other new students - like me - settle in to the Village. I think that coming to Australia to study has been a great decision for me.”
