The 3-rd “Eurasian Forum of Accountants and Auditors” was held in Baku between the 15th and 17th of September at Hyatt Regency Baku Hotel. APFM – ICFM was the organizer of this forum. The forum addressed the following topics: THE APPLIED PROBLEMS OF IFRS AND ISA IN INCREASING THE TRANSPARENCY

National Museum of History of Azerbaijan The National History Museum of Azerbaijan was 90 in 2010. The museum named after Azerbaijan state Museum in the beginning of its activity and since then continues to strengthen its profile. The museum attracted people’s attention to its expositions and exhibitions reflecting all period of Azerbaijan history. Today 300 thousand patterns immortalizing the history of our nation are saved in various funds of the museum. In the library of the museum are more than 80. 000 books, as well as rare journals and newspapers printed in the early of 19th -20th centuries. The museum building is one of the beautiful architectural monuments of Baku. It was built on the basis of chief architect Josef Goslavsky’s project. The mansion was the residence of famous entrepreneur and philanthropist of Hadji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev and since 1920 the building began its activity as a museum.

Gala Dinner at Gala Bazaar 27 September , 2013 Gala State Historic Ethnographic Reserve The Gala State Historic Ethnographic Reserves covers 156 hectares. In this area, 216 architectural and archaeological monuments are preserved. The oldest of discovered monument of the ancient settlement dates from the third millennium BC. This means that people lived and worked in the village of Qala for 5 thousand years. Among the architectural monuments in the territory of the village of Qala, 5 mosques, 3 baths, 4 castle reservoir ruins, a mausoleum, and residential homes are preserved. Azerbaijan has an astronomical glory thanks to the presence of the famous Maragha Observatory in the South Azerbaijan established in XIII century by Middle Ages Azerbaijani astronomer Nasiraddin Tusi. A new remarkable stage in the development of the national astronomy started in XX century. In 1953 in Azerbaijan there began to operate permanent astronomical expedition. This expedition inspected several districts of Azerbaijan, including Shamakhy, and has given a conclusion (June, 1953) about final selection of the Pirgulu site for building of an Observatory

The Minor Karavanserai The Minor Karavanserai, also known as the Khan Karavanserai, dates back to the late 15th-early 16th centuries. An art salon, quite popular among visitors and local people, is currently operating at the Minor Karavanserai offering works by local artisans together with the mouthwatering local cuisine. Besides this, the visitors may also see the handicrafts being hereby manufactured.

The Fortress Wall (Rampart) The Fortress Wall of Baku was erected approximately in 1138- 1139 following the order by King Manuchehr III of the Shirvanshah Dynasty (1120-1149). Originally 1500 meters long, the Rampart is currently preserved at the distance of about 600 meters. The Wall was built of fine local sandstone, 3-3.5 meters thick and 8-12 meters high.

The Temple of Atashgah, the State History and Architecture Reserve Atashgah, the Zoroastrian shrine, is located in Surakhane area, south- east of the Peninsula of Absheron, 30 kilometers away from Baku. In its present-day view, the Temple was erected in the 17-18th centuries upon the spot where natural gas was running onto the surface through fissures in porous limestone. It was this everlasting flame of the Land of Fire (Azerbaijan’s traditional name) that attracted visitors from all over the world.. As a unique place of worship and cultural site, Atashgah got the status of the State History and Architecture Reserve as of 2007. Cultural Life and Entertainment

Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after M.F.Akhunov was built in 1920 associating opera and drama groups. Historically professional Azerbaijan national opera originates from January 12, 1908 with opera “Leyli and Mejnun” of composer U.Hajibeyov. In 1959, it was named as Academic theatre of Opera and Ballet «Theatre of Opera and Ballet»

Green Theatre, opened in 1960, was one of the favorite place for city population. Most important cultural events had been taken place in it. Many popular art masters of Azerbaijan,post Soviet Union and foreign countries appeared on this stage. After general reconstruction in 2007, this theatre recommenced its activity. Green Theatre The building of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic was built in 1910-12 according to the project of “Summer house for public meetings”. After establishment of Soviet Power in Azerbaijan in 20 years, this building became place where gathered many music lovers, as well as orchestra and ensembles. The Museum of Modern Art was established on March 20th, 2009. There are about 1000 exhibits of Azerbaijani sculpture and art in the vanguard style. Visitors can get acquainted with works of Azerbaijani sculptors and artists.The children's art room, library, video hall, restaurants and art cafes are at your disposal. Azerbaijanian Folklore

The process of formulation of folk dance art in Azerbaijan has rooted in early ages. The first dances were ritual and hunter’. The most popular folk dances nowadays are: “tarakama”- nomad, “innabi”,“yalli”, “vagzali”, “mirzeyi”,danced mainly in weddings.

Azerbaijan kitchen belongs to the most interesting and original kitchens of the world. Most meals are prepared with mutton, beef and chicken. Meals of chopped meat is very popular. The sea, lakes and rivers are full of resources of different type of fishes, specially stellate sturgeon and sturgeon.The crown of meals can be considered “plov”- meal prepared with rice ,having many types.

During many centuries, folk music and “ashugi” –verbal traditional art musicians were existing and with increasing of urban culture it was gradually replaced to national-professional musical –mugam. The modern musical culture is based by U.Hajibeyov. Conservatory was opened in 1920. The composers school was headed by G.Garayev, the works of whom combined national pattern and moderns styles, which put forward Azerbaijan music to the arena of world art.
