Question for written answer E-001919/2021 to the Commission Rule 138 Simona Baldassarre (ID), Massimo Casanova (ID), Silvia Sardone (ID), Matteo Adinolfi (ID), Lucia Vuolo (ID), Alessandra Basso (ID) Subject: Call for an independent in-depth investigation into the evolution and origins of SARS- CoV-2 in the light of the WHO report of 30 March 2021 The report on the origins of SARS-CoV-2, published by the WHO1 on 30 March 2021 does not appear to have cleared up certain doubts, given that the theory of the animal origin of the virus has not been substantiated. On the contrary, studies confirm there is a substantial difference in the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 compared with other animal coronaviruses, which has increased its contagiousness. Moreover, the results of the tests carried out in the Huanan Market in Wuhan, where the spillover was suspected, showed that the spread of the virus depended mainly on humans and not animals. Chinese government interference has complicated research in the field, with the government itself proving unreliable from the start of the pandemic in terms of its cooperation in the search for the origin of the virus. These and other factors have prompted some scientists to call for a second investigation2 or, like Dr Capua3, an international virologist, to consider the hypothesis that the virus 'originated in a laboratory'. The activities of the EU legislator do not, in fact, take into account all cases in which sexual abuse is directly consumed online, i.e. where child pornography is provided by the child following the establishment of a relationship of trust between predator and victim. Furthermore, uncontrolled use of the internet can facilitate access to content that is not suitable for children, such as websites that glorify practices relating to anorexia and bulimia, including websites that incite suicide and self-harm. Question for oral answer O-000038/2021 to the Commission Rule 136 Sylvia Limmer, Jaak Madison, Roman Haider, Simona Baldassarre, Luisa Regimenti on behalf of the ID Group Subject: Vaccination of children against COVID‑19 in the light of Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union On Friday 28 May 2021, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved the BioNTech/Pfizer COVID‑19 vaccine for children aged 12 to 15. Several Member States had, however, already cleared the way for the vaccination of children in advance of the EMA’s decision. Some experts have doubts about the vaccination of children, especially with regard to the available data on risk compared to the benefits of protection for children, given that most data suggests that they very rarely get severely ill. Some experts suggest that vaccination for children would only be advisable if they have severe pre- existing conditions. 1. Does the Commission agree with the view that the administration of vaccines to children needs to be restricted in the light of Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union, especially given that the ability of children to give consent is limited and all vaccines approved by the EMA merely enjoy conditional marketing authorisation (based on a substantially reduced database compared to the one normally required for vaccine licencing, the assumption being that the benefits outweigh the risks, and that much more comprehensive clinical data then have to be provided in order to maintain the conditional authorisation and for this authorisation to be converted into a standard marketing authorisation in the future)? 2.

On 9 March the President of the European Council stated that the exporting of vaccines outside the Union was the result not only of business decisions made by the producing companies but also of a political strategy put in place by the European institutions to supply countries outside Europe with doses produced within the EU. Annuario Italiano Dei Diritti Umani
annuario italiano Il Centro Diritti Umani dell’Università di Padova, istituito nel 1982, dei diritti umani sviluppa attività di ricerca e formazione in materia di diritti umani in Centro Diritti Umani Diritti Centro chiave interdisciplinare e con apertura internazionale. Università di Padova 2020 L’Annuario italiano dei diritti umani 2020, decima edizione, offre dati aggiornati su come l’Italia opera nell’adattare la propria legislazione e le proprie politiche agli obblighi derivanti dal diritto internazionale dei diritti umani. Sono censiti i più significativi atti realizzati dalle istituzioni nazionali e locali, a livello interno e internazionale, le iniziative delle organizzazioni di società civile, i corsi universitari, la giurisprudenza umani annuario italiano dei diritti italiana e internazionale. Ampio spazio è dedicato alle raccomandazioni che gli organismi sui diritti umani di Nazioni Unite, Consiglio d’Europa, Unione Europea, OSCE hanno indirizzato all’Italia nel 2019. 2020 L’Introduzione dell’Annuario è dedicata a «L’Italia e i diritti umani nel 2019: ritrovata la bussola?». L’approfondimento tematico di questa edizione è dedicato all’analisi del comportamento dell’Italia in relazione al terzo ciclo di Esame periodico universale presso il Consiglio diritti umani delle Nazioni Unite. L’Agenda italiana dei diritti umani 2020 aggiorna sulle cose da fare per mettere l’Italia al passo con gli adempimenti normativi, infrastrutturali e di politiche pubbliche che le istituzioni internazionali considerano necessari per un’effettiva promozione e protezione dei diritti umani a livello nazionale.
