Good evening and welcome to tonight’s match against Adelaide United at ANZ Stadium. 2019 is a very exciting year fro the Wanderers with the completion of Bankwest Stadium and the new training facilities in Blacktown for the club’s Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League and Academy teams. Having worked with the club for the last two year’s as one of the PFA’s Player Development Managers, it has been fantastic to watch the way the club has grown and produced a number of talented Mitsubishi Electric, proudly supporting local players that you will see on the park tonight. I returned to the club this season as the U20s head coach and assistant of the Foxtel Y-League team and it was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. It is an honour to come back to the club and learn from The Western Sydney Wanderers FC. people like Arthur Diles, Ian Crook and Markus Babbel to progress further as a coach. My time here at the club in 2014 was very memorable, we had a great bunch of players in the squad and it was a time where it was all new and fresh. I still talk to a lot of those players and I have many fond memories of being player at the club. This season has been challenging for our Hyundai #WSWvADL A-League squad but it has been great to watch the next generation come through the squad and get some minutes under their belts. If we can repeat our performance against Perth and have a bit of luck on our side there’s no doubt that we’ll be snapping up all three points at home! Come on you Wanderers! TIt's been the narrative of our season so far, having had a number of fantastic performances but nothing to show for it. This Sunday, we travel to South Australia to face Adelaide United who are in red-hot form and in the line for their very first finals berth.
