Dallas Christian has been at its present location in Mesquite, Texas since 1975. The beautiful 60-acre campus, formerly occupied by a college, has a lovely setting amidst rolling hills. It is conveniently located 12 miles east of downtown Dallas which is home to the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks. Test Prep Dallas Christian has world class college readiness class which helps students prepare for the SAT or ACT, research college and university programs, and research available scholarships. Beginning in 9th grade, a counselor will work with each student to develop a 4-year plan. In 10th grade, students take the PLAN test which is an ACT prep test designed not only to prepare students for the ACT, but also to chart possible career paths for each student.

Theology Program One course is required in each year of enrollment.

Academic Services The school partners with Cambridge Network to offer College Prep and Language Culture (CPLC), an Academic Program designed to meet the needs of secondary-level international students; enabling them to improve their English skills and academic performance, and improve their chances in getting accepted into top colleges and universities. The program is available for students of all English levels, including college essay writing for advanced students and test preparation for TOEFL, SAT and/or ACT tests. Whether working one-on-one or in a graded class, the experienced faculty gives students the extra time and attention necessary for academic success and improved prospects for college admissions. CPLC is available both online or onsite and is determined prior to each academic year based on the international student program size.

Real World Learning Experiences Business Internship Elective: We are excited to announce the launch of a new high school business elective for the 2019-20 school year. This innovative approach to providing an introduction to the principles of business is a hybrid experience of both classroom instruction and real-world internships with a well-established Dallas area business, Milestone Electric. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program: This is the perfect program for students that are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. Fine Arts Sports Offered: 13 With class offerings in Art, Jazz Band, Choir, Drama, School Clubs and Activities Offered: 15 Drumline, Piano and Digital Music, there are many opportunities for our students to gain experience and Extracurricular Activities and Clubs grow in their preferred art. Teacher Profile Cindy York has been teaching for more than 35 years. She teaches college-prep English and history and has previously taught AP English. Mrs. York obtained her B.A. from Baylor University and her M.A. from the .

Notable Alumni Because of the schools outstanding athletics department, several alumni have gone on to become professional athletes, including: Jordan Black (NFL), Skye Dawson (NFL), and Choo Freeman (MLB). However, the schools most distinguished alumni is American film producer Bonnie Curtis. She has worked alongside the world-famous director for over 17 years. Her film credits include , A.I., Minority Report, and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. She is a co-recipient of the 1999 Producers Guild Award for Motion Picture Producer of the Year, for Saving Private Ryan.

International Student Success Stories Dallas Christian School has had many amazing international students over the years and all of them have gone on to attend their top choice of universities in the US and have received scholarship awards. Tina Lian (Class of 2018) received the School’s Martha Underwood Service award for having the most community service hours in her graduating class and is now studying at Boston College. Another standout Viola Du (Class of 2018) is currently studying Nutrition at her dream school New York University. International students are encouraged to become involved in extra curricular activities and most international students have participated in activities such: Art competitions, Theatre productions, football, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading and Academic meets.

Travel Opportunities Students at Dallas Christian are presented with various opportunities to travel domestically and abroad. Students are given the opportunity to go on mission trips (domestic and abroad) during winter and summer vacations. Every year the senior class goes on a ski trip to Colorado during the winter.
