  • Supporting Candidates Learning from Home to Prepare for Computer-Based Practical Tests
Supporting candidates learning from home to prepare for computer-based practical tests Supporting candidates learning from home to prepare for the practical tests in Cambridge IGCSE ICT (0417), Cambridge IGCSE (9–1) ICT (0983) and Cambridge International A Level IT (9626) We understand that many centres and candidates are facing challenging times, and that some centres are having to teach practical IT skills remotely. Practical IT skills are a vital part of our IT syllabuses. We assess these skills through formal tests under controlled conditions. To maintain the integrity of the tests, and the value of our qualifications for students, we encourage centres to teach the full syllabus content, whether remotely or face to face. There are currently no adaptations to the practical skills requirements for March or June 2021. However, we understand that candidates do not always have access to proprietary (non-free) software that is licensed through their centre. This may be a significant barrier to candidates practising practical IT skills at home. Using the centre’s licensed software Where candidates are learning remotely, we recommend that you first check your software licences to see if they If your school currently uses proprietary software, you allow candidates to use the software on their home may find that one of the free/open source alternatives computers. Some centres have academic licences that allow listed in the tables on this factsheet allows candidates to this. Other centres are setting up remote access to their practise their skills at home. If they become more familiar school systems for candidates or loaning out school laptops with this software than the software being used at the to candidates to continue their studies.

  • Resizing for ACCC Competition Rev 1.0 9/12/2011
Resizing for ACCC Competition Rev 1.0 9/12/2011 This document contains instructions for resizing your images to comply with the new Digital Image Competition Guidelines. In this document we have attempted to provide instructions that cover most of the image editing programs in common use by our members. However, it is entirely possible that some have been omitted. If you let us know, we will try to incorporate those applications in future versions of these Instructions. In the meantime, studying the options available in other programs will most likely be helpful in figuring out what you need to do in your particular software. Currently, instructions for the following programs are included: • Photoshop • Lightroom • Aperture • Image Processor (from Bridge or Photoshop) • Photoshop Elements • Irfanview • Picasa • Canon Digital Photo Professional 3 • Nikon View NX • Capture NX / NX2 • Paint Shop Pro (links to tutorials) Adobe Photoshop CS5 With your image open in Photoshop, go to Image > Image Size and the following dialog box will open. Make sure that the three boxes on the bottom left are checked and the Resolution is set to 300 pixels/inch. Then, change the image dimensions so that the longest edge of your image (height in the example below) does not exceed 1920 pixels and the shortest edge does not exceed 1080 pixels. In the example above the longest dimension was reduced to 1620 when 1080 was used for the shortest dimension. Under “Resample Image” choose Bicubic Sharper from the drop down box. If you want to use the full allowable dimensions of 1920 X 1080 you must crop the image to achieve the 16:9 aspect ratio.

  • Perspectives for Music Education in Schools After COVID-19: the Potential of Digital Media
Min-Ad: Israel Studies in Musicology Online, Vol. 18, 2021 Benno Spieker, Morel Koren – Perspectives for Music Education in Schools after COVID-19: The Potential of Digital Media Perspectives for Music Education in Schools after COVID-19: The Potential of Digital Media BENNO SPIEKER, MOREL KOREN Abstract: Innovations in research fields related to computer music and the advancement of the music industry have also influenced the digital sector for music education. Although many kinds of educational, edutainment, and entertainment music software appeared before the pandemic and are still in use, with the COVID-19 crisis and restrictions, it seems that music education in the primary classes has not systematically and thoroughly benefited from the innovations and advances reported by science and the music industries. However, the current need to teach music online could have an effect on the use of digital media after the pandemic. We present examples from the Netherlands, Romania, and Israel that lead to observations and suggestions about the potential of digital media after COVID-19. Keywords: music education, online music learning, singing, solfege, music literacy, primary education, voice synthesis, artificial intelligence. Introduction More than sixty years after humankind successfully programmed a computer to generate sounds from a digital composition, and almost forty years after the invention of a standard for sharing musical information digitally – MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), and the invention of the Internet, it can be said that digital media brought significant changes in almost all fields of music. Writing, composing, performing, recording, storing, disseminating with or without video are encompassing producing and consuming computerized music and digital media.

  • Muschain, Un Juego Colaborativo Para Compositores
Abstract The goal of this TFG will be to develop a game for musicians and composers alike, doing a market research and studying the user reception.

  • Freeware Irfanview Windows 10 Latest Version Download Freeware Irfanview Windows 10 Latest Version Download
freeware irfanview windows 10 latest version download Freeware irfanview windows 10 latest version download. Advantages of IrfanView 64-bit over 32-bit version: It can load VERY large files/images (image RAM size over 1.3 GB, for special users) Faster for very large images (25+ Megapixels, loading or image operations) Runs 'only' on a 64-bit Windows (Vista, Win7, Win8, Win10) Advantages of IrfanView 32-bit over 64-bit version: Runs on a 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Loads all files/images for normal needs (max. RAM size is about 1.3 GB) Needs less disc space All PlugIns will work: not all PlugIns are ported (yet) to 64-bit (like OCR) and some 32-bit PlugIns must be still used in the 64-bit version, some with limitations (see the "Plugins32" folder) Some old 32-bit PlugIns (like RIOT and Adobe 8BF PlugIn) work only in compatilibilty mode in IrfanView-64 ( only 32-bit 8BF files/effects can be used ) Command line options for scanning (/scan etc.) work only in 32-bit (because no 64-bit TWAIN drivers ) Notes: You can install both versions on the same system, just use different folders . For example: install the 32-bit version in your "Program Files (x86)" folder and the 64-bit version in your "Program Files" folder (install 32-bit PlugIns to IrfanView-32 and 64-bit PlugIns to IrfanView-64, DO NOT mix the PlugIns and IrfanView bit versions) The program name and icon have some extra text in the 64-bit version for better distinguishing. Available 64-bit downloads.
