Special Store Operating Hours During COVID-19

Albertsons Company Stores Companies’ 2,200+ stores nationwide set aside dedicated shopping hours for at-risk populations (senior citizens, pregnant women, immunocompromised, etc.). Each Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 AM will be reserved for those vulnerable shoppers who must leave home to obtain their groceries.

Costco Wholesale Beginning March 24 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., will temporarily implement special operating hours for members who are 60+. The pharmacy will also be open during this hour; however the food court will maintain its normal operating schedule. These hours apply to all locations except the Business Centers, which will remain open during regular hours.

Dollar General Beginning March 17 at Dollar General, the first hour of operations each day (7:00 AM to 8:00 AM) are dedicated solely for the shopping needs of senior customers.

Northgate Markets Northgate Markets are offering special operating hours for Seniors Citizens 65+ and Disabled Customers to shop from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Target Beginning March 18, Target will reserve the first hour of shopping each Wednesday at stores nationwide for vulnerable guests – including elderly and those with underlying health concerns. We are encouraging other guests to plan their shopping trips around this time frame.

Trader Joe's Every day between 9:00am and 10:00am, Crew Members will maintain an additional line outside the front door for our senior customers. This will ensure that those customers in need will have an expedited entrance to the store to help make their experience a more positive one.

Vallarta Starting March 18, all Vallarta stores will open early for seniors 65+, pregnant women, and those disabled to shop from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Walmart stores’ hours are 7 AM to 8:30 PM. Stores that open later than 7 AM will continue their regular starting hours. From March 24 to April 28, every Tuesday, Walmart stores will open one hour before the store opens for customers 60+. Pharmacies and Vision Centers will also be open.

Whole Foods Market Starting March 18, all stores in the U.S. and Canada will service customers 60+, one hour before opening to the public, under the new adjusted hours posted on the store’s web page. (Ex: If a store’s new hours are 9am-8pm, customers who are 60+ can shop starting at 8am.)
