2013

District 7 of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) recently selected its ADDY Winners. Advertising professionals from San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Cincinnatti judged the 826 professional entries last week and selected 193 winners. Entrants first entered and won at their local level to move to the District competition – the second tier of the National Advertising Awards competition. District winners will now move forward to the national competition, the third and final tier. The District 7 ADDY Awards will be presented on Friday night, April 19, 2013, as part of the District’s Spring Convention in Jackson, Mississippi. District 7 includes all of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

All Gold winners are automatically forwarded to the National ADDY Competition by the District. Any Silver winners may opt to forward their entry on their own and will be contacted by AAF National about those details. About The American Advertising Federation ADDY® Awards

The ADDYs® are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

The awards are a three-tier, national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners from cities in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, which is one of 14 District competitions. The District ADDY Awards will be presented in Jackson, Miss., on April 19. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the National ADDY® Awards Competition, which will take place June 8 in Phoenix, Ariz.
