Nominations to fill this position are now being called for. Youcef was born in Algeria but moved to Australia after visiting Sydney for the 1996 World Junior Championships. He WEDNESDAY 24TH AUGUST 2016 competed for his first Australia team in 2006, winning bronze in the 1500m at the 11.30am Dress Up Parade Melbourne Commonwealth Games. He then took up steeplechase and competed Races in the event at the 2008 Beijing Games, 12.00noon Talk by Olympian—Youcef Abdi finishing sixth. He then competed at 12.45pm Dance—”Strip the Willow” his second Games in London, 2 songs—”We are Australians” finishing sixth in & “Home among the Gumtrees” the steeplechase. 1.30pm Lunch 1.30pm Mini Olympics—5 groups / 10 minutes each rotation 2.30pm Races .

Geoffrey Purnell 64th 81.48 And with a top temperature ol26 degrees with gusty norlherly Paul Wilson 152nd 90.35 winds forecast, the 21.1 kilometre course along the Yarra River Neil MacDonald 173rd 92.54 needed to be treated with respect. Geelong's'marathon man', Darren Riviere was using the Burnley Fastest - GWoyecha (Doncaster) - 65.04 race as a tune-up run before the Melbourne Marathon and was - M Michelsson (Collingwood) - 65.24 planning to 'roll home' in a relatively comfortable 75 - 76 minutes - S Nankervis (Ballarat YCW) - 65.45 - 'marathon pace' for Darren.
