The 2007 Reunionin Williamsburg, was an Outstanding Success ! The 126 attendees plus the children attending the 2007 reunion had a wonderful time. Twenty states were represented. While wemissed seeing Queen Elimbethand the Royal Family (they came aweek earlier than originally planned) and missed attending the 50th Pilgrimage to St. Luke’s Church (which was held aweek later near Smithfield, VA), other events at the reunion and at the Heritage Weekend at Jamestown’s 400 Anniversary commemoration kept everyone very busy. Both the luncheon on Friday and the banquet on Saturday were excellent and delicious, albeit expensive. The dinner on Saturday was served in separate courses by wait staffin Colonial costume. It started with asoup course featuring peanut soup. This was followed by aseries of courses including salad, fish, redmeat, and dessert, each course beingserved separately fromthe preceding course. After dinner the Fulgham-Fulghum Family National Association held its annual business meeting in the Banquet Hall of the Woodlands Conference Center in . One of the items was the acknowledgment of the twenty years of dedicated service Peggy FulghumWood has provided the Association as Secretary-Treasmer by 0. Thomas Fulghumof Augusta, GA followed by the presentation of aplaque commemorating her service. Committee reports and other business matters, having been discussed and voted uponat the Saturday morning meeting of the Executive Committees and Boards of Directors of boththe Association and the Foundation, were presented at the business meeting. Events at Jamestown commemorating the 400"I anniversary of the first permanent, settlement by Englishmen in North America, thereby beginning in 1607 what was to become our Nation, were attended by most of the Reunion Attendees. There were too many events going on for one to attend them all aswell asvisiting the archeological sites, museums and other displays at Jamestown Island and the re-creation of “Jamestowne Cittie.” One important event that involved the Fulgham-Fulghum Family National Association was our status as one of the “Official Communities” of the Jamestown 2007 Commemoration. On Saturday afiemoon on Jamestown Islandour family was represented at aceremony by the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities by CarolynA. Fulghumof Greenville,NC. The ceremony recognized Official Communities and groups. There were many speeches and recognition of various other groups there includingthe present day family of the first African American family in Virginia and newly recognized American Indian tribes from the region. All of the attendees and the Association send our thoughts of deepest gratitude to President BettyWiggins for all of her work in organizing the 2007 Reunion. Without her work and connections in Colonial Williamsburg and to regional politicians, the FFFNA planning committee would not have been able to achieve the level of success that was achieved in organizing and conducting this eventful reunion. It was too bad that Betty’s involvement with security for the Jamestown 2007 events kept her sobusy during the reunion, causing her to beunable to attend many reunion events. We missed her but are grateful for her efforts for the Reunion as well for the secure setting for the Jamestown 2007 events. Well done, Ms.President !

Highlights of the 2007 FFFNA and FFFNF Business Meetings in Williamsburg,Virginia Peggy Wood reported that there were 225 paid members for 2006. This is not enough to support the Association at the current dues level. Thus, amotion was made and passed to raise the FFFNA dues to $40 per family for 2008. The suggestion was made that State Directors should try to increase memberships from their state. Peggy will furnish mailing lists for the states to State Directors. J.
