The Opening Ceremony of Princesss Cup 2018 (21/11/2018)

On 21 November 2018, at 17.00 hr, Her Royal Highness Princess presided over the opening ceremony of the major equestrian event, Princesss Cup Thailand 2018. Her Royal Highness Princess Nariratana, who chairs the Policy Committee of the Princesss Cup Thailand 2018, welcomed the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, and Major General Suvit Ketsri, Commander of the 2nd Cavalry Division King\'s Guard, as well as executive government officials.

The horse-racing event aims to develop contestants horse-riding skills and experience, as well as promoting good relations among equestrians and between equestrian clubs. International equestrians from more than 10 countries are participating in the event, taking place at the Royal Stable Unit, Sanam Pao, Phahonyothin Road, in , from 20 to 25 November.

In this regard, HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha stated that the equestrian competition is a universal sport recognized by the international community. Thailand has organized this competition at the international level in a systematic manner and to a high standard. It has been well-received by participating countries and it will benefit the horse-riding community in Thailand. HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha also expressed her appreciation to the 2nd Cavalry Division King\'s Guard, under HRH Sirivannavari Nariratanas supervision, and she was grateful for the cooperation of both public and private sectors in bringing recognition to the Princess\'s Cup Thailand 2018 and proudly presenting Thailand as the host country. Lastly, HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha delivered her best wishes to all participants in this successful event, which is a great opportunity to develop equestrian sports in Thailand.
