All bulls must be accompanied by Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued by an accredited veterinarian showing cattle are in good health and have met the following health requirements: (a) Tuberculosis — Bulls may be entered in the sale without tuberculin test provided they are identified on health certificate as originating in tuberculosis free accredited herds, or herds not under quarantine in modified accredited tuberculosis areas. All other bulls must be negative to tuberculin within 30 days of the date of the sale. (b) Brucellosis — Bulls may be entered in the sale without brucellosis test provided they are identified on health certificates as originating in certified brucellosis free herds. All other bulls must be negative to brucellosis test within 30 days of date of sale. (c) PI-BVD — All Bulls must be accompanied by negative Persistently Infected Bovine Virus Diarrhea (P.I. BVD) test. (d) Vibriosis and Trichomoniasis — All bulls which have been exposed to females must be accompanied by negative vibriosis and trichomoniasis tests. (e) All vehicles transporting bulls to the sale must be properly cleaned and disinfected. 2. Each sale lot will be sold separately to the highest bidder. The sale order will be determined the day before the sale. 3. Any changes from information in the catalog will be announced from the auction block and will take precedence. 4. The auctioneer selling will settle any dispute as to bids by declaring all bids off and reselling the animal(s) in question. 5. Each animal will be at seller’s risk until sold, but as soon as sold will be at the purchaser’s risk. 6. Terms of sale are cash, and payment is due from purchaser upon termination of the sale. Purchased animals will not be delivered until settlement has been made and released by barn superintendent. 7. All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. This association (Marion County Cattlemen’s Association); assumes no liability, legal, or otherwise, for the safety of the building or premises, or for the behavior of or future usefulness of the animals. This association acts only as agent for the consignors and assumes no responsibility, legal or otherwise, to the public in general or between buyer and seller. 8. Bulls will be graded by a committee composed of four outstanding commercial cattlemen and a representative of the University of Florida. 9. All bulls are guaranteed breeders by the consignor. In addition, all bulls must pass breeding soundness examination by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of the date of the sale, and a certificate showing acceptable breeding soundness shall accompany all bulls to the sale. 61st ANNUAL OCALA BULL & SELECT HEIFER SALE CONSIGNORS A&W Farms – Jackson, SC A&W Farms is located in Jackson, SC across the Savannah River from Augusta, GA. Our cattle are run on Bahiagrass pastures in the warm season and on Ryegrass/Wheat/Clover in the cool months. Apalachee Beefmasters, LLC & Rockin H Farm – Bethlehem, GA We began breeding Beefmasters in the 1980’s with selection based on the breed’s foundational “six essentials:” disposition, fertility, weight, milk, hardiness and conformation. Since the early 2000’s, selection objectives have included carcass composition. Our breeding programs rely on embryo transfer and artificial insemination utilizing some of the best pedigrees in the nation. Located in Georgia, our young stock development programs utilize maintenance/growth concentrates and classic Southeastern forages. Barnett Angus Farm – Washington, GA Barnett Angus Farm has been producing top quality, forage fed bulls for over fifty years. We are proud to have one of the oldest Angus herds in Georgia. Bayvue Farms – Hermann, MO Dedicated to livestock in Missouri since 1853, Charolais since 1963. For fifty years we have had the obsession to produce and put together quality cattle that are problem free and profitable for us and our customers. Each bull, Charolais, Angus, Ultra Black or Hereford, whether raised or purchased must meet the same criteria: sound feet and legs, fertility, easy calving and problem free. We keep it simple, quality bulls at a reasonable price! Black Crest Farm – Sumter, SC Black Crest Farm has been raising quality registered Angus cattle in the midlands of South Carolina for over fifty years. Our focus is producing functional cattle in a “real world” environment with the commercial cattleman’s profitability in mind. By using superior foundation females and proven genetics through AI, ET and our exceptional herd bull battery, we are able to produce cattle that fit the climate and forage available in the southeast, with added end product quality. Chambliss Hereford Farms – Hardinsburg, KY Chambliss Hereford Farms is located in Hardinsburg and Cecilia Kentucky. We have been raising Line 1 Hereford cattle for over 65 years. It is owned and managed by Brad and Carla Chambliss 270-668-7126 with their four sons: Clay, Clint, Caleb and Cooper. Our herdsman is Larry Wilhelm 574-806-7705. The foundation of our herd has always been built around the mother. Our pedigrees are stacked with the maternal giants of the breeds. Clayford Ranch – Patrick, SC Clayford Ranch is about 40 miles north of Florence, SC. We have been breeding Charolais for over 20 years. We select bulls that are calving ease, with high growth both for AI and natural service for our herd. Thomas L. Wilks CM2 Farms, Casey Mitchell – Trenton, FL CM2 Farms is a family owned/operated cow/calf farm located in Trenton, Florida. It is owned by Casey and Cynthia Mitchell. They raise Simmental and SimAngus replacement heifers and bulls. Their sons, Gabe and Briar, also show some of the heifers and bulls in 4-H and FFA all over the state.
