Job title: Cymru South/North Regions' Cup Honorary Team Manager

As a result of recent amendments to the UEFA Regions' Cup rules at the FAW, the way in which is represented at UEFA’s Amateur Cup competition has changed. Consequently, Tier 2 players and below are able to be selected provided that they meet the eligibility criteria. Therefore, the FAW is seeking to appoint honorary Managers for the Cymru South and North representative sides.

The honorary Managers of the representative sides will report into the General Manager of their respective league. The successful candidate will have a passion for domestic , extensive knowledge of Tier 2 football and below in Wales, management experience within the domestic game in Wales and will have or will be working towards the UEFA B Licence.

Responsibilities

• To co-ordinate all football activities for the team to ensure that all players and off field staff are provided with the highest level of support to enable them to compete and perform at the highest level • To lead the Cymru South/North representative side in order to meet the outlined objectives set by the Football Association of Wales for the competition • To identify players within the domestic game who could be selected as part of the representative squad • Liaise with the General Manager to produce a shortlist of players to be considered for selection • Co-ordinate the construction of the back room staff with the General Manager • To produce a workable action plan for the representative side should they qualify as Wales’ representative side for the 2020/21 Regions' Cup Intermediate Round • Design and deliver training programmes as the head coach of the Regions' Cup

Skills & Competencies

• Extensive knowledge of Tier 2 football and below in Wales • A passion to develop and enhance the profile of domestic football in Wales • Managerial experience within the domestic game in Wales • Good connections within the game to construct the highest quality backroom staff • To be able to lead high-quality training sessions • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

All interviews will be held in Cardiff between the 13th and 17th January. The interview process will consist of competency based and standard interview questions, as well as a presentation.

The successful candidate must be available to attend the UEFA Regions Cup Intermediate Round in Bulgaria from Monday 21st September 2020-Monday 28th September 2020.
