The following Directory provides a list of roles in statutory agencies working with Children and Families in Northamptonshire, who can support, provide guidance and work with you to protect and support the most vulnerable. The Directory has county wide contacts and locality based contacts.
The social care professionals on this list should not be contacted to make referrals as these should be done in the usual way using the Thresholds and Pathways guidance:
Emergencies If a child is in immediate danger, left alone or missing, you should contact the police directly and/or an Ambulance using 999.
Non Emergencies If there is no immediate danger or you need advice or information contact the Customer Service Centre, who will direct you to the right service.

When a family has needs that require co-operation between agencies, we use a standard assessment to identify these needs and work out the best response. This assessment is called the Early Help Assessment (EHA). This assessments allows all services working with children, young people and their families - whether in statutory, community or voluntary sectors – to use the same method for initially assessing children and understanding their needs.
