Doma dosud účinkoval kreativitu a zároveň re- s předními jazzmany - Tomáš Baroš, Petr Dvorský, spektuje tradice a slovník František Uhlíř, Antonín Gondolán, Jiří Stivín, Jan daného stylu. Na kytaru Linhart, Jiří Slavíček, Sva- hraje od 6 let, později se topluk Košvanec, Štěpán učí i na baskytaru a bicí. Podílel se na tvorbě filmo- Velice žádaný hudeb- vých soundtracků - Snowboarďáci, Rafťáci, Ro(c)k ník v rozličných žánro- Podvraťáků, Kozí příběh a dosud má na kontě přes vých disciplínách hrál již 30 alb vskutku věhlasných interpretů - Kamil Stři- od dětství na různé ná- havka, Lenka Dusilová, Radůza, Dara Rolins, Da- stroje. Basové kytaře se sha, DJ Neo, Milan Svoboda, Pragasón, Yvonne začal intenzivně věnovat Sanchez, Jana Lota ad. Rovněž doprovázel televizní ve 13 letech. Mj. figuroval pořady SuperStar, StarDance, X Factor aj. v obsazení funky-fusion ansámblu Bloody Mary Jana Militkého. Profesio- nální dráhu zahájil díky příležitosti uplatnit se v muzikálu Jesus Christ Superstar. Na české scéně se pohybuje již více než 15 let, během nichž účin- koval s uznávanými jazzovými, popovými, rockový- mi i folkovými osobnostmi. Pravidelně spolupracuje Aneta Langerová - Spousta Andělů (BMG např. s Jakubem Zomerem, Marcelem Flemrem Music 2004) - 2 - MARTIN ŠULC příležitostně figuruje v triu Soul-Jazz-Celebration, (*23. 4. 1961 Liberec) Triu Music, Rene Trossman Bluesbandu a česko- Č. 1 v anketě časopisu Ak- -finské kapeleConnection . Spolupracoval takřka se cent (1988); strávil stipen- všemi významnými českými jazzmany a mnoha svě- dijní pobyt na Berklee tovými legendami - George Mraz, Claudio Roditi, College of Music (USA), Bill Hardman, Jim Pepper atp. V poslední dekádě r. 1991 obdržel Fulbright byl stěžejním spoluhráčem pianisty Jana Knopa Award (New York), vy- (NajPonk). Vyučuje na pražské Vyšší odborné škole stupoval na mnoha při Konzervatoři Jaroslava Ježka a je spolumajitelem evropských festivalech - i dramaturgem proslulého klubu U Malého Glena. S Honzákem, Zbrož- kem (housle) a Evženem Zomerem (akordeon) spo- lupracoval v Květech času, na 2. Československém jazzovém festivalu v Karlových Varech (1985) získali Stříbrné vřídlo. První výraznější angažmá prodělal v acid-jazzové formaci Jan Kořínek & Groove, jež doprovázela americké bluesové zpěváky (Lorenzo Thompson, Eb Davis, Charlie Sawyer, Sharon Lewis atd.) V r. 2002 se stal členem jazzového kvinteta Work In Progress, od r. 2005 Organic Quartetu varhaníka Ondřeje Pivce a r. 2006 se připojil k world-fusion souboru Benedikta. Dále to byli např. Janis Joplin Revival, Ruchadze Band, funky-fusion Bloody Mary Jana Militkého, Vladimír Mišík, Walter Fischbacher, Extempore, Umělá Hmota, želetavský funky-punk Tady Nikdo Není, moravskobudějovičtí Floriján, Blues Messengers, Tereza & Groove Inn, Bůhví… Ruchadze Band - Amsterdam Beyond - CD V současné době též provozuje vlastní Jakub Do- Adventurer (Black Point 2007) VÍT POSPÍŠIL Bohemia Voice, Vít Pospíšil Organ Trio a mnoho Absolvent Státní kon- dalších.     Live Among the White Trash: A history of nono----manman on stage “There are no No-Man concerts scheduled for the foreseeable future.” (from the official no-man website) Anyone who has followed no-man’s career over the previous ten years or so will be acutely aware that the band does not play live. If no-man “exist” as a band at all – and their infrequent releases mean they are more an ongoing understanding between two men rather than an active unit – it is only in the studio. Over a series of uncompromising albums no-man’s music has become ever more complex, yet ironically, “live sounding” than the release which proceeded it. But this organic “liveness” is mainly an illusion; the feeling of spontaneity often the result of numerous edits and takes which only the precision of studio work can produce. Others have tried to perform equally difficult music live: Radiohead ambitiously thrusting their clicks-and- cuts post-rock upon the world’s stadiums, for example. But for a variety of reasons, no-man simply haven’t tried – at least, not since 1994 and not until a one-off performance in 2006. The only comparable case is Talk Talk’s retreat into the studio in the late 1980s. Both bands have undoubtedly crafted their best work without going near an audience. 1 But it wasn’t always so. no-man were once very much a live act, promoting singles and albums with dates and undertaking two full-blown tours – though they rarely played outside London, never went further north than Newcastle, and never played outside Great Britain.

Markus Reuter plays his selfdesigned touch style guitar – again covering much more ground than a guitar or a bass. And Masteloo’s drumming encompasses not just the acousc kit, but a unique electronic setup too, allowing him to add loops, samples, percussion and more. TONY LEVIN - Born in Boston, Tony Levin started out in classical music, playing bass in the Rochester Philharmonic. Then moving into jazz and rock, he has had a notable career, recording and touring with John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Yes, Alice Cooper, Gary Burton, Buddy Rich and many more. He has also released 5 solo CDs and three books. In addion to touring with Sck Men, since more than 30 years is currently a member of King Crimson and Peter Gabriel Band, and jazz bands Levin Brothers and L’Image. PAT MASTELOTTO - Very rarely does a drummer go on to forge the most successful career on the demise of their former hit band.
