Senior Group We are trying to form a new group specifically for our senior parishioners at St. John XXIII Parish. The only requirement is that you are at least 55 years young and a parish member. We are anticipating meeting one Saturday afternoon a month—opening the meeting with lunch and concluding the meeting at 4 p.m. Mass. Each month we will have an activity that is of interest to seniors. We will have guest speakers such as nurses on health care and nutrition, Elder Law information and tax experts to answer our tax questions along with some fun and games. We may even go on a local field trip now and then. If some of our members need rides to-and-from our Saturday meetings we'll set up a ride share system so everyone can attend the meeting and Mass. As always, see you in church! For additional information on this seniors group contact Lynn & Kathy Lamb at (313) 766-4690 or email: [email protected]. 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time | 9
