It will also make it easier for Harrison because it will give him a lot more room to move about and it will hopefully stop the pigs from trying to fight through the fencing. We have already dug the holes and filled in some of the holes with cement. (The pictures here show the finished pig pen.) THE GREENHOUSE POLYTUNNEL Where there was no heating up at We weeded the polytunnel first before EVOS a few plants died but most of we planted the vegetables. We have the plants survived in the cold. There planted some of the vegetables in the are a lot of different plants and polytunnel and some outside by the vegetable growing in the green pond area and also in the raised bed house at the moment. In the raised bed we have planted carrots, beetroot, broad beans, CHICKEN AND GUINEA onions and leeks. FOWL The only reason why the guinea fowl are in with the chickens is because when the guinea fowl have babies the babies do not survive out in the wild. Because we now don’t leave food out for the guinea fowl it means the ducks have gone away. So far we have got rid of 90 per cent of the ducks. Ten ducks was left up at EVOS and they have not gone away because we reckon that they were born and raised at EVOS. Terras Times The newsletter of Weymouth FC Supporters Association. September 2020 2018/2019 Southern League Champions 2019/2020 National League South play off winners. Hi Terras fans, Not much from me this month (no need to cheer that loudly!!) as we are jam packed with content from other contributors. Only remains to say welcome Brian Stock and COYT! James MEMBERSHIP UPDATE Our current membership base is 212, including family members. We also have 50 individual members who have taken advantage of the 5 year membership scheme! So far this calendar year, we have seen 100 new members join , which is incredible! We saw an initial increase when the away travel discount was announced followed by a surge again when the ticketing preference scheme was disclosed in the summer. The addition of online applications via the club shop has proved popular but also slightly problematic. We are required by law to ensure applicants for membership are over 16 years of age, under 16's can be part of family membership, so if you are reading this and have not provided us with your DOB or indeed any other details, you need to get in touch via the email at the bottom. Furthermore, if you have any change to you personal details such a new address, phone number or email address, please communicate it to us so we can keep you up to date. One final but very important point to note for all members. The Terras ticket preference scheme requires Weymouth FC to have the name and membership number of all our members, so they can verify eligibility on application for tickets.

LIMINAL LOSERS: BREAKDOWNS AND BREAKTHROUGHS IN REALITY TELEVISION’S BIGGEST HIT Caitlin Rickert, M.A. Western Michigan University, 2013 This study explores how The Biggest Loser, a popular television reality program that features a weight-loss competition, reflects and magnifies established stereotypes about obese individuals. The show, which encourages contestants to lose weight at a rapid pace, constructs a broken/fixed dichotomy that oversimplifies the complex issues of obesity and health. My research is a semiotic analysis of the eleventh season of the program (2011), focusing on three pairs of contestants (or “couples” teams) that each represent a different level of commitment to the program’s values.
