5 Game One At Fairleigh Dickinson Preseason Voting Patriot League Preseason Poll Bucknell was selected as the 2018-19 Patriot League women’s basketball preseason favorite, earning 154 points and 14 first-place votes. Holy Cross junior forward Lauren Manis was named the Patriot League Women’s Basketball Preseason Player of the Year, when honors were announced on Oct. 18.

Bucknell placed two student-athletes on the preseason All-League Team, including senior forward Kaitlyn Slagus and senior guard Kate Walker, both 2017-18 all-League selections. American’s Cecily Carl, the 2017-18 Patriot League Women’s Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Player, was the lone Eagle on the all-league Preseason Player of the Year team. Lauren Manis Holy Cross Manis, this season’s preseason player of the year, also earned a spot on the all- Preseason All-League Team league team, while Loyola Maryland junior guard Stephanie Karcz rounded out the Cecily Carl American five student-athletes on the preseason team.
