Welcome & introduction: All members were welcomed in the cluster meeting. 2. Action Points of Last Meeting: It was decided that all pending cases will be updated and for the proper referral mechanism and follow up of the protection issues till the solutions of the problems and will be shared in next meeting. It was shared by the FPAP regarding issues pending and updated all the issues 3. Updates on assistance delivery by organizations regarding protection / CP & GBV etc: Plan International Pakistan: They shared that they have registered 6 villages in Taluka Sujawal in UCs Keejhar, Jar and Ali Behr. The villages are as under: I. Gul Muhammad Mallah II. Muhammad Yousif Mallah III. Rahib Amro IV. Adam Amro V. Haji Tharo Gulmani VI. Ahmed Soomro They shared that they have also planned to organize the program in the above registered villages for walk on the World Universal Day on 20 th Nov. FPAP: They shared that they have conducted 18 FGDs (8 male, 10 female) and participants were 336 (156 Male, 180 female). They have conducted awareness sessions in UC Gujo, Ghulam-ul-Allah and Gharo. They also work on weekly medical camps on GBV at UC Sona, Village Abdullah Gandro and Suleman Gandro. They shared that they have dealt with 192 patients generally and 25 patients of GBV. It was also shared that they conducting meetings for referral mechanism with BHU Noor Muhammad Thahim UC Gharo, Shifa Hospital Thatta and LHVs. KFWS: They shared that they had participated in rescue activities in 4 districts of Sindh in 2011. they shared that the volunteers were busy from 12 August to 15 th Nov. The last boat had reached on 16-11-2011. They also shared that they are going to distribute the certificates for all the volunteers who participated in rescue activities of 2011. UNDP: They shared that the road accident which was a very bad accident in district Thatta is also the protection issue as there is no any blood bank. On the plat form of PTG we should raise this issue, as to ensure health facilities in District Thatta. It was decided with consent of all the participants that UNDP and SHARP will raise this issue. UNHCR: It was shared by UNHCR that they organized Protection clusters in 2011 flood districts of Sindh. UNHCR has also given training to all members on Protection, i.e. General Protection, Child Protection, GBV. Protection clusters have been activated from 4 th Oct. They have also shared that UNHCR asked all NGOs for submitting the proposals for the projects where it was also shared that submitting proposals does not mean that it would be approved. In that response 45 organizations had submitted their proposals and out of them 17 were sent to the national level at Islamabad. They organizations which were fit to be chosen will be shared with donors for projects. After that if any of the Organization will receive the project will be shared with that Organization. It was also shared that the PTG is going on without any chair as due to the end of the project of LHDP. So the new chair should be announced and they suggested SHARP to lead the PTG meetings. Social Welfare Department: They shared that SHARP is active participated in the meeting and raise the protection issues. Due to this, SHARP should lead the PTG Meetings. All the participants also agreed on this point that PTG chair should be rotated to SHARP. SHARP: They thanked to all participants for the consent of leading PTG chair. They have shared that they have visited the flood affected areas where most of the issues are education where the teachers do not come. They have visited UC G.M. Baran of Jati, UC Jhok Sharief of Mirpur Bathoro. SHARP has also dealt with 6 cases of psycho-social support. They shared that SHARP is going to organize a seminar for the awareness on the protection issues and all the participants will be invited along with other NGOs. They have shared that on the plat form of PTG there should be referral and follow up mechanism as to ensure the issues are being properly referred and solved. For this the mechanism is to distribute the issues if out side the working group meeting and share the issues on the other plat form any of the organization who will voluntarily share the issues and follow up of those issues till the solution of the problems. It was agreed by all the participants. SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT: The issue which was raised by UNDP regarding road accident is really issue of district Thatta and should be raised on every platform in order to solve these kinds of issues. NOTE: Next meeting is decided with the consent of all participants to be held on 30 th Nov time will be decided venue will be plan Pakistan. .
