VUTOV National Natural History Museum, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BG - 1000, Sofia, Bulgaria Abstract DIMITROV, D. S. and V. M. VUTOV, 2016. Flora of the Belassitsa Mountain. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 22: 30–39 As a result of the floristic investigations of Belassitsa Mt carried out between 2011 and 2012, 1515 species belonging to 517 genera and 106 plant families were recorded. The most numerous representatives were from the families Asteraceae (183), Poaceae (121), Fabaceae (113), Lamiaceae (83), Caryophyllaceae (80), Scrophulariaceae (79), Brassicaceae (77). There are 41 Balkan endemic species and 4 Bulgarian endemic species in the flora of investigated area. October 2016 Summary: During studies in floral ecology 151 bee (Apidae) species from 25 genera were recorded in the Botanic Garden of the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz since 1981. The garden covers an area of c. 3.6 ha (buildings included). The voucher specimens are listed by date, gender and plant species visited. For a part of the bee species additional notes are presented. The most elaborated notes concern Hylaeus styriacus, three species of Andrena subg. Taeniandrena (opening of floral buds for pollen harvest,slicing calyx or corolla for reaching nectar), Andrena rufula, Andrena susterai, Megachile nigriventris on Glau cium, behaviour of Megachile willughbiella, Eucera nigrescens (collecting on Symphytum officinale), Xylocopa violacea (vibratory pollen collection, Xylocopa-blossoms, nectar robbing), Bombus haematurus, Nomada trapeziformis, behaviour of Lasioglossum females, honeydew and bumblebees as well as the flowers ofViscum , Forsythia and Lysimachia. Andrena gelriae and Lasioglossum setulosum are first records for Styria. This inventory is put in a broader context by the addition of publications with enumerations of bees for 23 other botanic gardens of Central Europe, of which few are briefly discussed. -

Elfner (Heidelberg Botanic Garden) INDEX SEMINUM 2021/2022 HEIDELBERG UNIVERSITY BOTANIC GARDEN – INDEX SEMINUM 2021/2022 THE HEIDELBERG UNIVERSITY BOTANIC GARDEN was established in the vicinity of Heidelberg‘s famous castle as a garden of medical plants in 1593 and is among the world‘s oldest Botanical Gardens. After several relocations, the Garden was reopened in 1915 at its present site. About 5,000 plant species are cultivated in the Heidelberg Botanic Garden. Among these, the scientific collections of tropical orchids, bromeliads and xerophytic plants of Madagas- car are of prominent importance. The extensive herbarium (‚HEID‘) of the Garden – originating from the early 19th century – is one of the most significant plant archives in Germany. At present, the collection encompasses about 350,000 specimens.
