The community of individuals dedicated to the production of Mark Levinson components has es- tablished an unequalled tradition of ex- cellence and accomplishment, while accepting the responsibility for refining the state of the art in music reproduction within the boundaries technology and imaginationallow. The No. 26 Dual Monaural Preamplifier introduces a new level of performance in audio system control. Until now, the most musically accurate preamplifiers have had limited control flexibility due to the sonic advantages of direct signal paths. The new generation of circuitry developed for the No. 26 provides full control flexibility, for six audio sources with two tape loops, and such refine- ments as absolute phase selection, all with greater sonic purity than even the minimalist preamps of the past. The No. 26 offers two optional phono in- put sections for precise matching with any phonograph cartridge. Either of these circuits can be factory installed at the time of purchase, or added later by your dealer. The No. 26 also offers the option of true differential balanced connection to as- sociated equipment. While this superior interconnection technique has been taken advantage of in professional equipment for many years, only recently have domestic products offered it as an option. The No. 26 will allow you to achieve the maximum performance from Mark Levinson amplifiers and other products offering balanced connection capability. All Mark Levinson products are hand- crafted in limited quantities to ensure their high standards. Visit your Mark Levinson dealer to hear how good music can sound in your home. • As a New Generation Discovers Leonard Cohen's Dark Humour Kris Kirk Ruffles the Great Man's Back Pages by Kris Kirk
I stumbled out of bed. I got ready for the struggle. I smoked a cigarette, and I tightened up my gut. I said, This can't be me, must be my double. And I can't forget I can't forget I can't forget but I don't remember what. I Can't Forget I'm Your Man The following article is from Poetry Commotion, June 18, 1988. As a New Generation Discovers Leonard Cohen's Dark Humour Kris Kirk Ruffles the Great Man's Back Pages By Kris Kirk "The American attitude to Leonard Cohen is that I don't know how to sing -- 'These are great songs, sure is sad somebody else ain't singing 'em' - and that I'm marginal, totally outside the mainstream. It may finally be changing with this album, who knows? But I'm lucky I've always had a modest audience in Europe, otherwise I'd really be out of luck." Leonard Cohen chuckles. He chuckles a lot. Like his latest I'm Your Man album - with its famed "Lenny eats a banana" cover and its declaration (in "Tower of Song") that "I was born with the gift of a golden voice" - the so-called master of gloom is dead droll, particularly when he's sending himself up. "I agree this album's probably my best so far," he growls, lighting up yet another fag. "I think maybe I'm beginning to get the hang of it now." After how long? "Oh, after 20-odd years..." With a sell-out European tour culminating in a packed-to-the-gills additional third gig at the Royal Albert Hall, the rehabilitation -- resurrection from the dead -- of Cohen proceeds apace.

RaveneD from Jönköping, Sweden, started in 2018 and plays modern metal merged with influences from the past from bands like Pantera, Bloodbath, Lamb of GoD, and Metallica. The members are between 19-24 years old, but the music has been a big part of their lives for generations. Olle Liljegren (guitars, songwriter) is son to Simeon Liljegren (MoDest Attraction, AuDiovision), and nephew to Christian Liljegren (Nar- nia, The Waymaker, AuDiovision, Divinefire, GolDen Resurrection, etc.) and drummer Oliwer Svensson is son to Kent Svensson (HellfueleD). – These guys have poured 100% of their hearts into the tracks, which would attract both listeners interested in the tech- nical aspect of music, as well as anyone who just loves great metal. says Jonatan Samuelsson, founder and owner of record label JONO, and continues: – Ravened has a hunger and passion like few other bands in their age. They have started their journey towards an exciting future. This is where it all starts! From the Depths is recorded in Lund, produced by Ulf Blomberg (HoboRec) and will be released on CD and digitally Au- gust 7th by JONO, and distributed by SounD Pollution.
