HINT will serve as a conduit for contributors and readers to take part in the dissemination of written and artistic information germane to our diverse communities. We will explore where we have been globally, and reflect upon the cultural significance of our chosen paths. HINT will be a forum to examine and peruse the complexities of our traditions across the span of our history and allow for fact-based discussions on social justice, cultural, philosophical, religious and artistic expressions. Through this enterprise, it is our hope that the one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, will be honored and as expressed by the prophet Isaiah, “The glory of Hashem will be revealed and all flesh shall see it together “ Isaiah 40:5 HINT ADVERTISER INVITATION The editors and staff of HINT Magazine are blessed to have this opportunity to engage in a new enterprise that seeks to foster greater understanding of our various histories and nationalities, as well as illuminate the strengths and gifts of the Israelite nation that is scattered throughout the world. HINT Magazine understands how technology has impacted the ever changing platforms on which news and information are delivered. HINT is a quarterly online and print publication that spans a global market with a projection readership of 10,000 minimum, per issue for the first 6 months in 2014. With integrated marketing on traditional and nontraditional platforms, including social media to increase content visibility, HINT Magazine reaches various demographics within the Hebrew Israelite diaspora and markets to a global audience. HINT Magazine will distribute a select amount of magazines via print circulation at targeted events to further solidify its presence within the marketplace. HINT’s online distribution is powered by www.issuu.com a leading 3-d digital magazine server and print on demand distribution via www.magcloud.com. This allows for retail distribution, wholesale pricing for third parties, and Ipad upload. HINT CORE TEAM MEMBERS EDITOR-IN-CHIEF AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER Nehimya Webb is the Found- er and President of HINT. Since his personal revelation about the Hebrew Israelite way of life in the 70’s he has sought to enlighten and engage others through a vari- ety of methods. This has included hosting a public affairs radio program on WHRW Binghamton University, The Hebrew Israelites: Are They Really Lost. He organized a leadership forum in NYC (2006), The State of a Nation: Negro, Colored, Black, Afro and African American - A Biblical Perspective: Can These Bones Live? In 2010 he arranged and chaired a panel, Contested Identities: Israelites, African Hebrews, and Black Jews at the Race Ethnicity and Place (REP) conference at Binghamton University. An online website and magazine became a logical forum to continue his quest to encourage dialogue and communication worldwide. This vision is now HINT Magazine. CreativE Director and DEsigner Randell Pearson’s (a Hebrew Israelite based in Brooklyn, New York) experience extends beyond three decades as a creative pro- fessional in both the corporate and private sectors. His mission for HINT...to main- tain a level of aesthetic excellence and wed form and function to both HINT’s online platform and print publication mediums. An accomplished graphic designer and il- lustrator, he has designed numerous books and magazines and has more recently illustrated two children’s books. Randell has garnered awards from the Art Directors Club of New York, The Type Directors Club and the Society of Publication Designers. His work has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Parke-Bernet Galleries in New York City and has received special recognition from the late Coretta Scott King, actress Jane Fonda, millionaire businessman and America’s Cup winning sailor Bill Koch and former New York State Governor Malcolm Wilson. He is a graduate of The High School of Art and Design (NYC), Hunter College (CUNY) and Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA) Randell’s personal and professional mantra...Art is a col- laboration between God and The Artist and less The Artist does the better. HINT CORE TEAM MEMBERS EXECUTIvE EDITOR Rabbi Malchah Netanyahu is currently the provost and a professor at the Israelite Rabbinical Academy of New York. She is an accomplished scholar of Torah and Ancient Near Eastern Languages and Culture. She has a life long enthusiasm for learning and teaching. She holds advanced degrees in theology, Torah and education from The Jew- ish Theological Seminary of America and Colgate Rochester Bexley Hall, Crozer Theological Seminary. She also holds an advanced degree in medicine. She is a gifted author, lecturer and teacher. Rabbi Malchah has presented workshops, keynote addresses and seminars throughout the United States. She is the recipient of several scholarly awards and honors, among them the coveted Rubenstein Award. Rabbi Malchah is currently engaged in a proj- ect to collect, edit and publish articles from prominent rabbis and laypersons in the Israelite community. She is also the editor of a forthcoming anthology of Devrei Torah. Recording and documenting the stories of women of the Israelite communities and beginning an Israelite Torah commentary are some of her budding passions. EXECUTIvE EDITOR Professor Y’sudah Yehudah holds a Master of Arts degree in cultural anthropology from the New School for Social Research in New York. Her enduring pas- sion to reevaluate Israelite descents from the Ancient Near East and Africa led to an un- dergraduate award of the A. D. Felheim Scholarship which supported her participation in excavation at Hazor in northern Israel. As a visiting student at New York University, Profes- sor Y’sudah continued her quest during a seminar examining the alleviation of poverty at Uganda Martyrs University in Nkozi, Uganda. This produced her article, “Poverty in Uganda: An Anthropological Outlook on Challenges Faced and Some Thoughts for Next Steps” in the seminar’s publication. She graduated with a BA with Honors in Liberal Arts from what has been renamed The New School for Public Engagement. Professor Y’sudah also holds an Advanced Business Certificate in Marketing from St. Francis College in Brooklyn. She con- ducted fieldwork twice near Mbale, Uganda, gathering ethnographic data for her Master’s thesis researching the Abayudaya Jews. She has been master of ceremonies, lecturer, and keynote speaker at the Schomburg Center for Black Research; the Jewish Community Cen- ter in New York; the Phenomenal Israelite Women’s Annual Conferences; Binghamton Uni- versity, and various synagogues. Professor Y’sudah is currently adjunct professor in Cultural Anthropology at the City University of New York and held that position at other colleges in New York and New Jersey. She is also Bursar and Professor of Anthropology and Religion at the Israelite Rabbinical Academy headquartered in Queens, New York.
