The 1995 Barber Dodge Pro Series was the eleventh season of the series. But SCCA Pro Racing canceled the 1995 running of the Grand Prix. The Barber Dodge Pro Series race was moved to Texas World Speedway to support the IMSA GT Championship.[2]. Final standings. Color. The 1995 Barber Dodge Pro Series season was the eleventh season of the series. Dodge replaced Saab as the series engine provider. 1995 was also the first season the series was sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing. All drivers used Dodge powered Goodyear shod Mondiale chassis. South African Jaki Scheckter won the championship. The Barber Dodge Pro Series would support the Trans-Am Series at the Dallas Grand Prix. But SCCA Pro Racing canceled the 1995 running of the Grand Prix. Struggling with an overheating, ill- handling car in the morning session, he put in a very few laps, winding up 13th-fast out of 20 cars with a lap of 1:04.763 in the #22 Andersen Racing / College Network / Indeck / Cytomax Mazda. Working with his Andersen Racing engineers, Daly, who also happens to be the son of legendary F1/Indy Car racer and noted motorsports broadcaster Derek Daly, found the 'sweet spot' and turned the fastest lap of the session, a 1.01.978 – still a tad shy of Peter Dempsey's qualifying record from last year, a 1:01.788, but the youngster from Noblesville, Indiana feels confident heading into tomorrow's mid-morning qualifying… and he's no rookie at this; the race he won in New Jersey he won from the pole. Some 40 years ago he got his start working with the Brabham Formula One team – the owner was Bernie Ecclestone. He went on to become a team manager and owner himself. His teams have won the Indy 500 at least 4 times. Prior to joining SCCA Pro he was Director of Operations for IndyCar.
