Brian Koppelman New York native Brian Koppelman’s journey in Hollywood began when he wrote the original screenplay for "Rounders" with his writing partner, David Levien. Over the next few years Brian and David produced “Knockaround Guys”, “The Illusionist”, “Runner Runner,” and “I Smile Back”. In 2009 Brian and David wrote and directed "Solitary Man" starring Michael Douglas. The film was included in both AO Scott's New York Times "Year End Best" list and Roger Ebert's "Year End Best" list. Other career highlights include work on many films including "Ocean’s Thirteen," "Runaway Jury," "The Girlfriend Experience," and the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary, "This Is What They Want," for which Brian and David won an Emmy Award as directors. Brian is co-creator and executive producer of Showtime’s 2016 drama "Billions," starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti. Brian’s Slate podcast, "The Moment," is routinely on "best of" lists.
