Poor air quality has a negative impact on public health, with potentially serious consequences for individuals, families and communities. Identifying problem areas and ensuring that actions are taken to improve air quality forms an important element in protecting the health and wellbeing of Sefton’s residents. Air Quality in the Majority of Sefton is of a good standard, however, a small number of areas in the South of the Borough have been identified where additional targeted actions are likely to be required to bring about further air quality improvements.

    Sefton Council Housing Benefit Service The Local Housing Allowance rate for your benefit claim depends on the number of bedrooms you and the people in your household need, not necessarily the number of bedrooms you have. You are entitled to one bedroom for each of the following: • A single claimant • Any two children of the same sex aged under 16 • An adult couple • Any other person aged 16 or over • Any two children aged under 10 • Any other child You could be entitled to an additional bedroom certain specific circumstances if you are a foster carer or if anyone in your household receives overnight care or is unable to share a bedroom because of disability.
