Marcus Expanding The AMC’s reach and opening our doors to any pet or service animal in need of care remains a cornerstone of our mission. In 2013, nearly $1,400,000 in free and subsidized Susan L. The newest of these funds, AMC TO THE RESCUE, was created to expand medical services to animals temporarily in the care of non-profit rescue Mrs. Edwin M. Its mission is to promote the health and well-being of companion animals through compassionate care, advanced specialty treatments, groundbreaking medical research, and a sustained commitment to training future generations of veterinarians. At The AMC, some 100 veterinarians representing 25 specialty fields aggregate their skills and experience to provide the highest quality of medical service possible to all patients, including animals whose owners or temporary caretakers have limited financial means. Called Charitable Community Funds, these subsidized programs mirror the quality of care and compassion offered to every AMC patient. To ensure the continued advancement of its core mission and to offer continuity of care to all of its pet patients, The AMC is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
