At the onset of COVID-19, Reena’s Senior Management Team quickly identified the critical need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Reena, as we often do, reached out to the extended Reena Community for assistance.

We approached Beker Fashions, a manufacturer of women’s formal wear since 1923. Ron Beker understood Reena’s urgent need for protective wear, as “Special Occasion Wear” in its own right, and agreed to shift operations from the production of designer gowns to the design of protective gowns and face masks.

The challenge was to find sufficient and suitable fabric to manufacture enough PPE, as businesses were closing their doors.
