Will of John Hacker, husbandman, of Churchill, 1640

In the name of God Amen the sixt Day of January An[n]o D[o]m[ini] 1639 I John Hacker of Churchill in the Countie of Oxon husbandman beinge sicke in bodie but of p[er]fecte memorie thanks be given to god doe make this my last will and |Testament In manner and forme as followeth first I Com[m]itt my soule into the hands of Allmighty god hopinge to be saved by the merritts of Jesus xp[Chri]ste and my body to be buried in the Churchyard of the parish Church of Churchill aforesaid Item I doe give and bequeath Unto my brother Thomas Hacker of Churchill aforesaide the sum[m]e of Tenne pounds of lawfull money of England to be paide unto him within halfe a yeare next after my decease Item I doe give and bequeath unto my sister Dorothie Hickes the wife of Thomas Hickes th[e]younger of Churchill aforsaide the sum[m]e of Twentie pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paide unto her withinone year next after my decease Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Cozen Jane Hacker the daughter of my brother Thomas Hacker of Churchill aforesaide the sum[m]e of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England when shee shall have accomplished the age of Eighteen yeares Item I doe give to the Church of Churchill the sum[m]e of three shillinges and foure pence Item I doe appoynte and ordeyne my mother Anne Hacker of Churchill wydow to be my sole Executrix In witnes whereof I have to this my Last will & Testament sett my hande and seale the day and yeare above wrytten wrytten read sealed and
