NVIDIA is the first graphics company to span workstations to sub $1000 PC and to provide a unified driver across its entire product range. OEM PC manufacturers have access to NVIDIA graphics chips technology through numerous graphics card manufacturers. Recently, according to market analyst Mercury Research (Scottsdale AZ), NVIDIA has moved from number four to number two position in desktop stand-alone market. With the rapid acceptance of NVIDIA 3D technology in the Fortune 500, small/medium-sized businesses, homes and professional markets NVIDIA has decided to put the 'Select Solution' program in place to guarantee to OEM system builders the best quality level across multiple combinations of boards and suppliers together with the use of the unified driver Detonator. The select solution program is designed to guarantee that the 'select builder' have access to: - Certified graphics boards meeting the optimum compatibility level in accordance with Microsoft Page 1 certification requirements. - Certified graphics boards meeting the best manufacturing quality requirements defined by NVIDIA. - The up-to-date NVIDIA unified driver is provided with the boards. - A strong and efficient field technical support is available to all system builders. The first OEM board manufacturers to meet the 'Select Solution' program criteria’s are ELSA, GUILLEMOT and 3DPOWER. Additional names should complete the list soon. The 'Select Builder' program allows the OEM PC builders using the 'Select Solution' products to get direct support from NVIDIA. They will have access to a dedicated WEB site for products update and news. They will have access to a choice of promotion materials (products sheets, logos, posters, banners). NVIDIA will contribute to the 'Select builders' promotion activities like advertising, incentive programs and others sales and marketing events.
