SCHURR HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM
For the first time in the history of the Schurr volleyball program, the Lady Spartans team won the Almont League title. A banner season came to an end for the Schurr Spartans Volleyball team in the quarterfinals of the CIF playoffs. The loss did not take away from the record-breaking season for the Schurr volleyball program. The Lady Spartans accomplished that feat with a 9-1 league and an outstanding 27-win season against 5 losses. The team was also honored by the Whittier Daily News as the 1st All Area Team.

ECUADORIAN DUAL NATIONALITY DAY

Ecuadorian Dual Nationality Day was declared by the Ecuadorian Congress on January 24, 1995, when the Political Constitution of the Republic was amended to state that “all Ecuadorians who were born in Ecuador and obtain a second citizenship, they will maintain the Ecuadorian citizenship”. Ecuadorian people residing outside of their country are now able to become productive U.S. citizens, while maintaining their strong ties with Ecuador.
