The 2019 Formula 3 Asian Championship was a big success, with top young racers competing for the series crown -- all driving on Giti tires. As part of this series, Giti Tire is promoting the development of these future driving stars through activities, video, interviews, and photos across platforms, with the theme of ‘Powering Up Tomorrow’s Racing Leaders’. This is intended to showcase the passion, energy, and excitement of the Shanghai drivers, crews, and everyone involved in the F3 Asian Championship.

So far, the F3 Asian Championship has already gained a great reception from drivers and fans alike. With passionate young drivers, F3AC a top-level formula competition, combining performance, safety, and car racing efficiency. This past year, the series has taken Giti and the future champions to famous F1 tracks in Japan, China, Thailand, Japan and Malaysia.

12 Giti's Audi R8 Duo Conquers Class With #1/#2 Finish Giti Tire’s third appearance at the ADAC Total 24 Hours Nürburgring turned out to be a huge success, with its high-powered Audi duo overtaking its competitive SP8 class for a #1/#2 finish.

From June 20-23, an intensive round of activities and practice races at Nürburgring concluded with the highly-anticipated 24 Hours race. For this year’s contest, Giti's vehicles were all fitted with GitiCompete GTR1 tires and covered with full Giti branding.

Giti featured two Audi R8 vehicles in the race, both performing impressively in their SP8 class throughout 24 hours of intense conditions and competition.

13 Groundbreaking 'Giti's Angels' Team Wins at Nürburgring Throughout the nine-race high-profile VLN series held at Nürburgring this year, the Giti’s Angels 300 WV Golf VII GTI TCR car has performed very competitively. However – despite coming very close - during the season they had not been able to win first place in their highly competitive SP3T class. That all changed at the final VLN race of 2019. After four hours of racing, the team finished the turnaround to take the SP3T class championship, becoming the first-ever all female racing team to win its class in international motorsports competition.

This victory followed an inspiring performance at the 24 Hours Nürburgring race, where the team overcame a severely damaged engine, working for 13 hours to overhaul the machine and finish the race with great determination.

14 Taking Commercial Truck Tires to the Track

For its third straight year, Giti Tire brought its top truck tire technology to the track, starting with its recent April 20-22 appearance at the famous Brands Hatch Circuit in the UK. The Team Oliver satin-black VOLVO VNL race truck achieved strong overall results to kick off its season.

At the helm of the Giti #7 branded truck was renowned driver Stuart Oliver, a 10-time British champion who also has wins in the USA at Pikes Peak, India, and elsewhere in Europe. Oliver and his vehicle were utilizing the newly adapted Volvo engine for their first time, and found strong performance from it and the vehicle’s Giti tires.

Giti’s specially-designed GitiCompete Race-Tuned V1 tires are tuned through extensive development and testing, with technology that adapts Giti’s commercial truck tires to truck racing environments. In-turn the results and data analysis from these highly intensive racing environments also help to improve Giti’s technology for all types of truck driving.
