Advance Everest Base Camp Trek from Tibet Overview Tibet is often described as the roof of the world. Our trek also takes a route over the Tibetan Plateau with an altitude of 3500m. Everest advance base camp trail goes one up the North face of Everest base camp. We will follow the friendship highway enjoying the most beautiful breath taking scene on the way. We will cross through small Tibetan settlements wandering herdsmen across the large barren plains, stunning and amazing mountains peak. We will get plenty of time to explore around the place of Tibet, Lhasa and many other towns which are both rich in culture and natural beauty. Actual Adventure is making a great trip who wants to get a little thrill and adventurous walk around Everest up to 6340 with lots of experience of Tibet culture and Natural beauty on the way. Itinerary Day01: Arrival Kathmandu You will meet our Actual Adventure representative at arrival gate who will welcome you and take you to your hotel. You can take rest or move around Kathmandu Durbar square. At evening, you can have traditional welcome dinner with us. You will stay at your Hotel at Night. Day02: Sightseeing Kathmandu Kathmandu holds the historical and spiritual place so today we can start our tour after breakfast, from the place which are considered as World Heritage sites; Kathmandu Durbar Square (Basantapur) where you can see Kumari temple, Museum, Kaal vairab (the god of distruction), Taleju Vawani (the goddess temple once opened in the 9th day of great festival Dashain) , Pasupatinath ( the biggest holy temple of Hindus), Swayambunath (the famous monkey temple), Boudhanath (the large in the world). Then we will move towards Bhaktapur (Bhadgaoun) where you can see other durbar square, traditional houses, traditional Newari Museum. Then you will be taken to Nagarkot hill from where you can see Kathmandu Valley. After that you will taken to Latitpur where you can see next durbar square hold Nepalese history. At Evening you will be free for personal activities. You will have your night stay in Kathmandu.

Day03: Fly to Lhasa After having breakfast we will fly to Lhasa where we can get acclimatize. We will spend 3 nights in Lhasa so that we can have plenty of time to explore Lhasa. But today we will stay at hotel waiting for tomorrow to visit Lhasa.

Day04 & 05: Visit Lhasa We will go to the famous palace of Dalai , Potala. We cannot miss the great Drepung , Norbulinkha and the shrine Temple where we can wander through the Tibetan market. We will enjoy the marvelous Turquoise Lake when moving to the historic town, Gyantse which is very famous for the inimitable Kumbum . We can also hike through the enormous Tashilhunpo monastery.

Day06: Drive to Gyantse Today we will drive to Gyantse which was considered as the third largest and most famous town of the Tibet. The town is strategically located in the Nyang Chu valley on the ancient trade routes from the Chumbi Valley, Yatung and Sikkim, which met here. From Gyantse, routes led to downstream and also over the Karo La (Pass) to Central Tibet. We will spend our night here.

Day07: Drive to Shigatse Early morning we will drive 90 Km towards Shigatse, the second largest city in the . It is the administrative centre of the modern Shigatse region, an administrative district of the Tibet. The city is located at an altitude of 3,840 metres (12,600 ft) at the confluence of the Yarlung Tsangpo (aka Brahmaputra) river and the Nyang River (Nyang Chu or Nyanchue) in west Tibet. We will stay at hotel here.

Day 08: Drive to Shegar After a buffet breakfast we will drive to the Shega which is administration of the about 87 km east of the old Tingri town. Shegar is a small city approximately 60 Km north-west of Mt. Everest andstraight over 50 Km from Nepali boarder in the Tibet autonomous region. It is at about 4,300 m elevation. The old Shegar Dorje Dzong, or fort, is over the new town and used to surround Shegar Chode Monastery, a Gelug monastery which was completely destroyed but has been renovated. Day 09: Drive to Rongbuk Rongbuk monastery is the starting point of our trek lies near the base of the north side of at 4,980 meters above sea level, at the end of the Dzakar Chu valley. Two large tributary glaciers, the East and West Rongbuk Glaciers flow into the . It flows north and forms the Rongbuk Valley north of Mt Everest. The famous Rongbuk Monastery is located at the northern end of the Rongbuk valley. Mount Everest is the source of the Rongbuk Glacier and East Rongbuk Glacier. Stay overnight there. Day 10-11: Explore to Base camp. Today we will walk around Base camp which is located about half-way between Rongbuk Monastery and the actual climbers Base Camp at the foot of Rongbuk glacier. We have to stay here for acclimatization and trek preparation. Day 12: Ascend to Camp1 Today we will ascend from base camp to camp1 at 5460m which is set amongst barren moraine hills. We will spend our time there doing shot treks and adapt with weather. Day13: hike to Intermediate Today we will hike to intermediate camp which is at 5760 m height at west rim of glacier. We will also search the nearby ice Seracs which increase like white sails from a debris-laden glacier surface. Day14: Rest at intermediate We will rest at intermediate to adapt. Day15: Rise to Camp2 Today we will rise up to our camp2 at 5970m towards the convergence with the Changtse glacier. Day 16: Expedition to Advance base camp Today we will ascend towards our destination, camp3 at height 6340 m. The advance base camp for the north Col route ends here. The top of Everest become visible unbelievably close now and is as little as some 2400 meter higher than camp 3. We will step back from Advanced Base to Camp2. Day17: Return to base camp Today we will return to base camp and stay there enjoying the Rongbuk glacier. Day18: Drive to Nyalam We will prepare to go back Kathmandu so we will 1st drive to Nyalam situated at Nepal boarder. Today Nyalam is fast growing little town made of actual buildings located on the Friendship Highway between Lhasa and the Nepal border. South of Nyalam the road drops immediately through the gorge of the Matsang Tsangpo or Sun Kosi as it is known in Nepal. The town is about 40 km from the Nepalese border and 150 km from Kathmandu. We will stay there tonight. Day19: Drive to Kathmandu From Nyalam we will drive to Kathmandu this morning. About 150 km drive takes us to Kathmandu where our trips end. You can stay in hotel. Day20: Free day in Kathmandu The day is free today in Kathmandu so you can explore Thamel and buy some souvenir to your family and friends. Or we can have many options for you if you like. Stay at hotel. Day 21 Depart Kathmandu After Buffet Breakfast, you will be free Till Departure. Then you will be transferred to Kathmandu Airport.
