Hingga saat ini keberadaanya masih terjaga dengan baik. Arsitektur masjid Gedhe Mataram merupakan percampuran dari berbagai unsur budaya, mulai dari bangunan utama yang memiliki kesamaan bentuk dengan rumah tradisional Jawa yaitu joglo, sampai konsep masjid dan makam para pendiri kerajaan mataram yang masih bisa kita saksikan saat ini. Sejarah berdirinya masjid Gedhe Mataram Kotagede yaitu pada masa panembahan Senopati pada tahun 1585-1601. Bangunan masjid tersebut berawal dari bentuk langgar. Seiring perkembangannya masjid Gedhe Mataram Kotagede mengalami beberapa perbaikan dan penambahan yang disebabkan oleh faktor teknis maupun non teknis. Adapun bagian-bagian masjid Gedhe Mataram Kotagede saat ini,mulai dari ruangan utama yaitu: pawestren, mimbar, mihrab, saka guru, atap tumpang, mustaka, sedangkan unsur luar masjid terdapat serambi, bedhug dan kenthongan, jagang atau blumbang, tempat wudhu, prasasti tugu, bangsal dan satu kompleks dengan makam para pendiri masjid.memiliki pintu gerbang paduraksa, tempat wudhu, jagang atau blumbang, serambi, pawestren, saka guru, mihrab, mimbar, atap tumpang, mustaka. Masjid tersebut satu kompleks dengan makam. Penelitian menggunakan metode sejarah yang mencakup beberapa aspek yaitu pengumpulan data, kritik sumber, analisis data, penulisan hasil pemelitian. Selain itu juga penulis menggunakan pendekatan historis-arkeologis. Pendekatan historis digunakan untuk mengetahui sejarah masjid gedhe mataram. sedangkan pendekatan arkeologis ditujukan untuk mengetahui pembangunan atau renofasi masjid gedhe mataram kotagede. Teori yang digunkan adalah teori akulturasi yang diutarakan oleh Koentjaraningrat, bahwa akulturasi terjadi ketika suatu kebudayaan dipengaruhi oleh unsur-unsur kebudayaan asing, sedangkan unsur kebudayaan asing diintegrasikan dalam kebudayaan yang ada tanpa menghilangkan kebudayaan asli. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat tiga unsur pengaruh budaya yaitu pengaruh unsur budaya Islam, Jawa dan Hindu. Unsur Islam terdapat bentuk mimbar, mihrab, tempat wudhu. Unsur jawa terdapat pada saka guru tiang penyangga atap, bentuk atap masjid yang berbentuk tajug lamabang gantung yaitu atap yang berbentuk kemah atau piramid. Sedangkan unsur Hindu terdapat pada gapura paduraksa, motif hias yang ada pada pagar keliling masjid motif teratai, kala makara. vii KATA PENGANTAR بِسْنِ اللّٰهِ الّرَحْوٰنِ الّرَحِيْنِ اَلْحَوْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَّبِ الْعَالَوِيْنَ وَبِهِ نَسْتَعِيْنُ عَلَى اُهُوْرِ الدُنْيَا وَالدِيْنِ وَالّصَﻻَةُ وَالسَﻻَمُ عَلَى اَشّْرَفِ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْوُّرْسَلِيْنَ سَيِدِناَ هُحَوَدٍوَعَلَى آلِهِ وَأَصْحَا بِه أَجْوَعِيْنَ. Segala puji dan syukur penulis panjatkan kehadirat Allah Swt, yang telah melimpahkan rahmat, karunia, hidayah dan pertolongan-Nya, sehingga penulisan Skripsi ini dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Selanjutnya penulis juga menghaturkan shalawat dan salam semoga senantiasa tercurah kepada Sang Revolusioner sejati, Nabi Muhammad Saw, beserta keluarga, sahabatnya dan para pengikut setianya, yang telah menyiarkan agama Islam dengan penuh pengorbanan tanpa mengenal lelah serta mengeluarkan manusia dari "alam kegelapan menuju alam penuh cahaya". Skripsi yang berjudul “Akulturasi Budaya dalam Arsitektur Masjid Gedhe Mataram Kotagede“ hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses akulturasi serta bentuk akulturasi yang ada pada masjid Gedhe Mataram Kotagede. Pada realitanya proses penulisan skripsi ini tidaklah semudah yang dibayangkan. Berbagai kendala seperti pengumpulan dan penulisan sumber informasi dari lapangan, adalah salah satu kesulitan penulis karena harus merubah sumber informasi dari bahasa lisan ke dalam tulisan. Terselesaikannya skripsi ini bukanlah semata-mata karena usaha penulis, melainkan atas bantuan dari berbagai pihak. Tak lupa penulis sampaikan ucapan terima kasih kepada Riswinarno S.S, M.M, selaku dosen pembimbing, yang telah mengajarkan banyak hal terhadap penulis, mulai dari penulisan sampai ilmu pengetahuan lain. Pitana 3 Abstract Gebyog is a traditional Javanese house wall made of wood with a particular pattern. The shape of Javanese houses and gebyog develop over periods of culture and government until today. The shapes of gebyog are greatly influenced by various culture, such as Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, and Chinese. The Hindu and Buddhist influences of are evident in the shapes of the ornaments and their meanings. The Chinese influence through Islamic culture developing in the archipelago is strong, mainly in terms of the gebyog patterns, wood construction techniques, ornaments, and coloring techniques. The nuance has been felt in the era of Majapahit, Demak, Mataram and at present. The use of ganja mayangkara in Javanese houses of the Majapahit era, the use of Chinese-style gunungan ornaments at the entrance to the Sunan Giri tomb, the saka guru construction technique of Demak mosque, the Kudusnese and Jeparanese gebyog motifs, and the shape of the gebyog patangaring of the house. Grafika no. 2, Kampus UGM, Yogyakarta 55281, Indonesia Email: [email protected] ABSTRACT The Javanese Palace City including the old city of Kotagede is mostly described by using the existence of the four components—Palace (kraton), Mosque (mesjid), Market (pasar) and Square (alun-alun)—as its city great architecture and identity. It is very rarely explored its folk architecture and settlement pattern as a unique identity. The linearity of settlements found in the study challenges us to understand Kotagede old city has specific linear settlements as its identity complemented to the existing Javanese four components. This study is started to question the finding of previous research (1986) titled as ―Kotagede between Gates‖–a linier traditional settlement set in between ―two-gates‖, whether can be found at other clusters of settlement within the city. This study discovered that among 7 clusters observed, they are identified as linear settlements. The six-types of linear patterns associated with road layout that runs East-West where jalan rukunan (‗shared street‖) becomes the single access to connect Javanese traditional houses in its linearity pattern. It is urgent to conserve the Kotagede‘s identity in the future, by considering to preserve the existence and the uniqueness of these linear settlements. As demonstrated in Kotagede, Jogjakarta Special Province, Indonesia, sustainable conservation should evolve with new contemporary needs and not be about making static museum places. Two case studies of post-calamity reconstruction illustrate the utilization of existing urban fabric, in which through redefi nition and reprogramming do not reveal solutions, but demonstrate the challenges in response to the urban dynamics after the 2006 earthquake. Sebagai pendukung yaitu tentang tulisan mengenai berbagai implementasi program tentang kegiatan bimbingan teknis pemugaran dan perawatan struktur kayu, work shop pelestarian bangunan tradisional, dan perawatan bangunan tradisional di Kotagede. Di samping itu, dilengkapi dengan beberapa kegiatan pemugaran di Candi Ijo dan Ratu Baka. Berbagai tulisan tersebut di atas semoga bermanfaat bagi masyarakat pecinta pusaka budaya, mahasiswa, pelajar, dan akhirnya dapat menambah referensi khasanah pustaka budaya pada umumnya. Yogyakarta is a center for Javanese traditional arts and culture, the ancient temples of Borobudur and Prambanan, and is home to a royal family whose lineage goes back to the Mataram era in the 16th century. It is also a center of Indonesian higher education. Striking in the early morning hours, the earthquake took over 5,700 lives, injured between 40,000 and 60,000 more, and robbed hundreds of thousands of their homes and livelihoods. As if the devastation of the earthquake were not enough, the disaster may not be over. The increase in Mount Merapi’s volcanic activity, which began in March 2006, is producing lava flows, toxic gases, and clouds of ash, prompting the evacuation of tens of thousands of people. This report presents a preliminary assessment of the damage and losses caused by the earthquake.

Kotagede menjadi salah satu daerah tujuan wisata yang diminati karena jenis wisata minat khusus yang dimiliki yaitu wisata spiritual, wisata budya dan sejarah serta wisata kuliner dan belanja. Wisata spiritual yang ditawarkan adalah berziarah ke makam Raja-raja mataram Kotagede dan Masjid Agung Mataram Kotagede. Sejarah mencatat bahwa Kotagede dulunya merupakan ibu kota kerajaan mataram dan pusat pemerintahan membuat kawasan ini memiliki bangunan heritage yang masih berdiri hingga saat ini. sebagai kawasan wisata, Kotagede tentunya memiliki ciri khas keunikan yang tidak dimiliki oleh kawasan wisata lainnya, yaitu sebagai sentral kerajinan perak dan kuliner tradisonal yang dibuat secara tadisional dengan resep turun temurun. Pariwisata memberikan dampak bagi lingkungan disekitarnya, salah satunya adalah membuka lapangan kerja baru baik bagi masyarakat pekerja maupun bagi pelaku usaha industri pariwisata. Peran pemerintah dalam mendukung industri wisata yang ada adalah melakukan standarisasi usaha dibidang pariwisata melalui sertifikasi yang dikeluarkan oleh Lembaga Sertifikasi Usaha (LSU). Kata Kunci: Wisata budaya dan sejarah, wisata spiritual, wisata kuliner dan belanja GAMBARAN UMUM Yogakarta merupakan salah satu tujuan destinasi wisata karena kegiatan pariwisata mengalami perkembangan secara masif. Revianur Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia, Depok, Indonesia ABSTRACT: Candi Borobudur (Borobudur Temple) is the world’s largest Mahayana- Vajrayana Buddhist temple, which is located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. It was built by the Sailendra dynasty between the 8th and 9th centuries A.D. The temple was built with 10-step pyramid terraces, which are decorated with 2,672 relief panels, 504 Buddha stat- ues, and 1,537 stupas. In this study, we aim to examine the forms and types of the stupas of Borobudur, which are composed of 1,536 secondary stupas and 1 primary stupa compared to those of other stupas found in Java and Bali islands. The stupas at Borobudur located from the second to ninth terraces are called the secondary stupas, whereas the one located on the tenth terrace is called the primary stupa. They are symbolic stupas, which consist of a base (Prasadha), a bell-shaped body (anda), a top support (harmika), and a top (yashti). The stupas are divided into four types, namely plain stupas, hollow space-square stupas, hollow space-diamond stupas containing the Dhyani Buddha Vairocana that represents the turn- ing wheel of the dharma and the single main stupa that becomes the centre of Borobudur Temple reflecting Sailedra art-style. Here, we use a qualitative method, which is based on field observation and historical sources. The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive description of the stupas in Borobudur from the perspective of historical archaeology.
