FEATURING THE 2014 WALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

My name is and I am a member of the Calgary Stampeder Alumni Association (the “Alumni Association”). I am pleased to inform you that we will be hosting our 2nd Annual Stampeder Red & White Gala Dinner in support of amateur football and the Shouldice Fields – Phase II Enhancement Project. I invite you to mark your calendar for September 12th, 2014 where we will celebrate the longstanding history of Stampeder Football while supporting amateur football in our city. I believe through sports and recreation we can deeply enrich the lives of kids and empower future generations.

The Alumni Association was founded in the fall of 1975. It now consists of 250 members, of which 150 reside in the Calgary area. Our members annually conduct youth football skill camps for local athletes; play in many fund raising hockey games; participate with the Stampeder players in school basketball games; as well as participate in a number of Southern Alberta Golf Tournaments in support of local charities. In addition, the Alumni Association provides speakers for numerous sports awards banquets; oversee the Wall of Fame Induction Program at McMahon Stadium; and raise funds through various charity events. Our Alumni Association is reputed to be the largest, most active one in Canada, and we are proud of the contributions we continue to make, both financially, and in the involvement of our Alumni Association members to the community.

The Calgary Stampeder Alumni Charitable Foundation was started in 1997 through a donation by former Calgary Stampeder Owner, Sig Gutsche. The Alumni Association became actively involved with the Calgary Stampeder Charitable Foundation in 1999. Currently there is in excess of $600,000.00 in capital managed by the Calgary Foundation, generating interest, which is invested back into the community on an annual basis. The Calgary Stampeder Alumni Charitable Foundation is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors, with funds managed by the Calgary Foundation. All donations and gifts are tax deductible under the guidelines, as set forth by the Calgary Foundation. Our mission is to disburse funds to the amateur football community and as many needy youth oriented charities as possible. As former athletes, who have benefited from our association with the , and have chosen to remain in the Calgary Area to raise our families, we feel that it is incumbent on us to create a legacy, which will benefit local area youth in perpetuity.

The Calgary Stampeder Alumni Association and the Calgary Stampeder Alumni Charitable Foundation have donated just over $1,300,000.00 to local charities and specifically just over $300,000.00 to the Greater Calgary Amateur Football Association (the “GCAFA”) and the Shouldice Fields - Phase II Enhancement Project.

The GCAFA was incorporated in 2007 to address a dire need that exists in Calgary with respect to the lack of safe, reliable, playing surfaces in Calgary, specifically, artificial turf fields. Because of Calgary’s lack of turf fields, many amateur football games were being cancelled due to bad weather leaving our minor football players out in the cold. For the past five (5) years, the GCAFA has been working diligently to raise funds for the installation of three (3) artificial turf surfaces at Shouldice Park; for the construction of new grandstands; press boxes; scoreboards; lights; washrooms; concessions; an entry plaza and overall improvements to Shouldice Park. Once completed, Shouldice Park will become one of the best minor football complex in Canada. After much work, dedication, commitment, and many setbacks, the turf fields at Shouldice Park have been installed and provide the Calgary community first-class artificial turf fields in which

to showcase Provincial and National amateur football and other sport championships. The total cost of the Shouldice Fields - Phase II Enhancement Project is approximately $12,000,000.00. The GCAFA along with the support of the Alumni Association has been successful in raising close to $9,000,000.00. The GCAFA is currently attempting to raise the additional $2,500,000.00 to $3,000,000.00 to complete the Shouldice Fields - Phase II Enhancement Project. Proceeds generated from the 2nd Annual Stampeder Red & White Gala Dinner will be donated to the Shouldice Fields - Phase II Enhancement Project in Calgary, to contribute to this worthwhile cause to better Calgary minor football.

This year’s Stampeder Annual Dinner will feature our 2014 Stampeder Wall of Fame Inductees and will take place on Friday, September 12th, 2014. The weekend kicks off with a private cocktail reception for the inductees, their family and friends, along with Stampeder Alumni members on Thursday, September 11th, 2014. The Stampeder Red & White Gala Dinner will be held on Friday evening in the Red & White Club located at McMahon Stadium and is open to the general public. The events will conclude with the inductees being honoured at halftime at the Stampeder home game on Saturday, September 13th at McMahon Stadium. Prior to the halftime induction ceremonies, the inductees, their families, and members of the Wall of Fame Selection Committee will be treated to a pre-game meal at the Red & White Club. We are seeking support through sponsorship of this exclusive Stampeder event and this support would be a significant contributor to the Shouldice Fields - Phase II Enhancement Project.

On behalf of the Stampeder Alumni Association and the many ambassadors working together to make this event a success, we hope your company will consider becoming one of our teammates. I would like the opportunity to schedule a meeting with you to discuss the potential opportunities for your company to be involved in the 2nd Annual Stampeder Red & White Gala Dinner.

WALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

Here is a closer look at the Class of 2014:

Jamie Crysdale (No. 67, offensive line — 1993-2005): Durability was Crysdale’s calling card during his distinguished career with the Red and White. He played in 210 consecutive games, a remarkable feat for any football but particularly impressive for an offensive lineman who endures so much punishment over the course of a season and a career. With 216 contests over 13 seasons, Crysdale — a centre — is one of only five players to have played more than 200 regular-season contests for Calgary. He was Presidents’ Ring winner in 1994, the Stamps’ nominee for the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman award in 1995 and a West Division all-star in 1998. The Mississauga, Ont., native was a member of the Stamps’ Grey Cup-winning clubs in 1998 and 2001.

Stu Laird (No. 75, defensive line — 1985-96): Laird played 170 games over a dozen seasons for the Stamps and his No. 75 is one of only seven jerseys retired by the team. His 72 career sacks rank second in franchise history to Will Johnson and represented the best total by a Canadian player at the time of his retirement in 1996. He was a three-time winner of the Stamps’ Presidents’ Ring award and was a three-time team nominee for the Memorial Award for community service, winning the honour in 2001. He was a Grey Cup champion in 1992 and a West Division all-star in 1994. Though born in Assiniboia, Sask., Laird grew up in Calgary and played at Lord Beaverbrook High School before joining the University of Calgary Dinos.

James Sykes (No. 11, running back — 1978-83): It is a testament to Sykes’ ability that Hall-of-Famer Willie Burden accepted a supporting role in the Calgary offence in order to allow the Rice University alum to become the Stamps’ feature back. Sykes delivered by producing more 10,000 total yards in his six-year career in Calgary. He was a CFL all-star in 1978 and 1980 and the league’s rushing champion in 1980 and 1981. He turned in four 1,000-yard rushing seasons with Calgary and scored double-digit rushing touchdowns in three separate seasons including a then-club record of 13 in 1978. Sykes had 5,361 rushing yards, 225 receptions for 2,224 yards, 2,028 kickoff-return yards, 485 punt-return yards and 49 total touchdowns for the Stamps before finishing his CFL career in Winnipeg.

Ron Allbright (Nos. 57 and 64, lineman — 1956-67): Nicknamed “Badger,” Allbright was primarily an offensive lineman but played on both sides of the ball during his 12-year career with the Stampeders. He was the franchise’s all- time leader in games played upon his retirement in 1967 and his total of 188 regular-season contests held up as the Stamps’ all-time high until 1972 when he was passed by longtime teammate Larry Robinson. He played 26 more games in the playoffs. Allbright is a local product, having attended Western Canada High School and played for the Calgary Bronks juniors.

Pat Clayton (Builder — 1984-2012): Clayton served 29 years as an athletic therapist and later as the director of medical services for the Stampeders. He joined the Stamps in 1984 after previously serving as athletic therapist for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. During his time in Calgary, Clayton treated hundreds of players — including 10 members of the Hall of Fame — and the Stampeders won four Grey Cup titles.

George Hopkins (Builder — 1972-present): A native Calgarian, Hopkins joined the Stampeders in 1972 and he’s still with the club as he is entering his 43rd season of service. The veteran equipment manager has worked 727 regular-season games, 38 playoff contests and eight Grey Cups with the Red and White. He has missed only three games during his more than four decades with the club and he worked alongside fellow Wall of Fame honouree. Hopkins was a part of Grey Cup teams in 1992, 1998, 2001 and 2008. sponsor packages FEATURING THE 2014 WALL OF FAME INDUCTEES
