Port of San Francisco To Vallejo FERRY SYSTEM Since 1875 ferries have been a primary means of transportation in the San Francisco Bay Area. The historic Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street, was established as the main terminus for people Ferry Service Routes boarding and disembarking ferries to various locations in the Bay and Delta areas.
