    SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE EXTREME RESULTS THE GAFFRIG STORY… In 1984, James Gaffrig, a long time family friend and my father’s partner on the Chicago Police force for more than 10 years, left the force armed with a talent for building quality, marine-capable speedometers and gauges, and the ambition to turn this talent into one of the most respected businesses in the boating industry. I began working with Jimmy when he opened his first shop in Chicago in 1984. It was here that he began manufacturing what are still known today to be the best gauges in the trade. Soon, like Gaffrig gauges, these products proved to the boating industry that Gaffrig was synonomous with quality. Sadly, in 1992, my friend and mentor, James Gaffrig, passed away.     SWIMMING AUSTRALIA TEAM MEMBER UNIFORM POLICY Reference Number: HP/01 Responsible Officer: Director of High Performance Approval Date: Approval Authority: Swimming Australia Board Date of Next Review: OBJECTIVE The objective of this Uniform Policy is to outline the obligations on Australian Swim Team Members in relation the wearing of team uniform while participating in National Team activities. APPLICATION This Policy is applicable to Swimmers and Team Staff who are engaged by Swimming Australia. POLICY STATEMENT Swimming Australia requires Swimmers and Team Staff who are engaged by the organisation and participate in National Junior and Senior Team activities, including events, to wear Swimming Australia branded team apparel supplied by Speedo with the correct sponsor logos. Swimmers and Team Staff acknowledge that as engaged members of the Australian Swim Team and as ambassadors for the sport, they have an obligation to wear the approved team uniform at times designated by this Policy and at other times as reasonably directed by Swimming Australia. The owner of this Policy is the Chief Commercial Officer at Swimming Australia. POLICY OPERATION A. Australian Swim Team Tours or Camps (junior and senior teams) Members of the Australian Swim Team will be issued with appropriate apparel or be advised of previously issued apparel they are required to wear at a National Team activity. (a) Below is a summary of times on National Team activities where the wearing of Swimming Australia Team uniform is mandatory: i. during each scheduled training session, including all gym sessions ii. in the competition venue during all competition sessions iii. when travelling to and from a Swimming Australia tour or camp iv.

    USA SWIMMING 2021SPRING SPEEDO SECTIONALS Central Zone Section 3 March 24 – 28 , 2021 SAFETY PLAN INTRODUCTION: In November of 2020, the partnership between Indiana Swimming and the Indiana University Natatorium resulted in the successful and safe hosting of two high-level swimming competitions The Return to the Nat and the Toyota U.S. Open Championships at the iconic Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis. The safety procedures and COVID-19 mitigations planned for and executed at those two events have continued to serve as models for aquatics facilities across the country about how to safely return to competition during the COVID-19 pandemic. In March, Indiana Swimming will again be partnering with the Indiana University Natatorium to host multiple events including the USA Swimming’s Speedo Sectionals from Wednesday afternoon, March 24, through Sunday, March 28. Realizing that hosting a meet using the pre-COVID-19 model will not be possible this March, many hours have been spent creating a new Speedo Sectionals hosting model that follows all the current guidelines of the CDC, State of Indiana, Marion County, the City of Indianapolis, Indiana University, and USA Swimming and will ensure the safety of all the participating athletes, coaches, staff members, and volunteers. This USA Swimming event will be conducted at two sites – the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis and at Elkhart Health & Aquatics in Elkhart, IN, thus reducing the number of athletes and coaches at a typical Sectional event by 50%. To reduce the number of hours that participants spend in the Natatorium, this meet will be swum in a timed-finals format with only three shorter sessions per day.
