From the Director This has been the year of Wonder Woman. The blockbuster movie hit the big screen early this summer as the character (aka Wonder Woman) celebrated her 75th birthday. (Though I haven’t seen the movie yet, I do have fond childhood memories of the 1970s television show. What little girl from that era didn’t want to be a superhero like Wonder Woman or one of Charlie’s Angels?) Our 2017 WFF keynote speaker Michelle Janssen began her address by inviting our audience of nearly 90 women to stand in a power pose—hands on our hips, shoulders back, chin up, feet apart.
