Summer, 2015 Elvis' original 12-Pound 'Aloha From Hawaii' Cape to The King's Ransom Museum: Elvis Presley's original 12-Pound 'Aloha From Hawaii' Cape has a new home! The 12-pound cape custom-made for Elvis Presley for the singer's famed 1973 performance Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite is now owned by The King's Ransom Museum and is one of the 'Personal Treasures of Elvis Presley' soon to be displayed for Elvis fans around the world to enjoy. The full-length cape, adorned with an American eagle and stars and inlaid with semi-precious stones, measured nearly five feet in length, but when Presley tried it on in rehearsals, he found it too heavy to be worn onstage for the show. Designer Bill Belew was forced to create a lighter replacement for Presley, with the original sent back to Graceland. "Presley had the cape made to hide behind at the opening of the Hawaii show. His intention was to 'emerge' from behind the cape during the 2001 opening segment. The show was heavily choreographed - he intended to drop the cape and reveal himself to the anxiously awaiting crowd. However, when Presley tried on the cape during rehearsals, the weight almost pulled him over backwards, and it was decided that a smaller version was needed." "Three small hooks and Velcro are sewn into the collar to connect the cape to Presley’s jumpsuit, and two small straps are sewn into the corners to enable Elvis to stretch out the cape while wearing it." Belew, who died in 2008, gained fame for designing many of Presley's outfits from 1968 to 1977, including the velveteen ensemble the singer wore for his infamous "Elvis meets Nixon" photo.

Perhaps not since Peter Carnley's The Structure a/Resurrection Belief has there been another work on the resutTection that weaves together these contrasting elements. 2 Yet, not only do these two texts present very different perspectives, but Allison's exhibits a far greater command of the gennane historical issues, both skeptical alternative responses as well as what can be concluded from the relevant New Testament texts.

    ELVIS ARON PRESLEY ELVIS ARON PRESLEY Elvis Presley also known as The king of rock n’ roll, was born in 8 January 1935. his birthplace was a humble home in east tupelo Mississippi USA. When he was 13 his family moved to Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating there he took odd jobs like such as a truck driver. At that time he sang locally as “The Hillbilly cat”. In a short time period, he signed a contract with a local recording company and later on with RCA recording company. He established early rock and roll by bringing black blues to the white. Girls became hysterical over his sexual gyrations. One in particular got him named Elvis the pelvis, so cameras weren't allowed to film him under the waist. The hillbilly cat WHAT HAPPENED? After the 33 movies he starred in he disappeared. It has been a mystery where he has been for quite a while. Now it is known that he settled in his Graceland mansion. He made a comeback in the 1970 s’. That year he sold out over 57 shows in Las Vegas. He toured around USA and made over 500 live appearances. At the end of the tour the stress and the gain of kilograms took their toll. He died 16 august 1977 in his Graceland mansion. FAMILY He married Priscilla Presley with whom he had 1 child. His daugthter is Lisa Marie Presley. He also has a granddaughter named Riley Keough. Twinbrother Jesse Garon Presley who died at birth. In 1972, after considerable debate over what major landmark might be named after Memphis's most famous resident without undue embarrassmentto the city, local politi- cians seized upon the honky-tonk, used-car and neon section of Bellevue that dribbled down toward Mississippi, the state of the honoree's birth.
