The warmth and appreciation which I felt from the entire community was beyond description. The presence in the Marriott Hotel of 1,700 guests, including hundreds of members of the congregation, some of whom have no direct connection to Ramaz, was deeply gratifying to me, to Audrey and to our entire family. The remarkable presentations that evening were in such good taste and had a light touch to them making the evening even more special. Of course, the performance of the Ramaz Chorus and Dance Troupe was breathtaking and glorious. The very moving Tribute Book and Journal were filled with so many nice messages. All of this made the evening a once-in-a-lifetime experience and it was worth waiting forty years to enjoy it. I consider the evening to be a great tribute to this community and I tried to say it in my response to the gathering. I hope you will be interested in reading that Tree of Life presentation to Rabhi Lookstein response which is printed below.
