  • Jackyl Returns to the Q Showroom!
Contact: Tammy Gray | Marketing Manager 563-585-3013 | [email protected] September 4, 2019 - For Immediate Release Jackyl Returns to the Q Showroom! Thursday, December 12 :: 8pm with Special Guest: TBA Top Hits: “The Lumberjack,” “Push Comes to Shove” and “When Will it Rain” Dubuque, IA - It’s an incredible accomplishment when a rock band has been successful enough to reach the 25-year mark since the release of their first album. And this year, rowdy southern rockers Jackyl have accomplished this feat, and are celebrating with an appropriately-titled compilation, ’25,’ which dropped July 28 via Mighty Loud Records. The 18-track set (which can be ordered via the band’s official site, jackyl.com) features such Jackyl radio hits as “Down on Me,” “The Lumberjack,” “Push Comes to Shove” and “Favorite Sin,” as well as two previously unreleased tracks - a live rendition of “Redneck Punk,” as well as a cover of Black Oak Arkansas’ “Hot and Nasty.” “At the time we first hit the scene, we were told by quite a few interviewers and fans that we sounded like a cross between Black Oak Arkansas and AC/DC,” explains Jackyl. “While we were very familiar with AC/DC, we were not with BOA. We went back and listened, and were blown away - so much so, that we recorded a cover of one of their most kick ass tunes, ‘Hot and Nasty,’ which is now finally getting its release on this comp.” First bursting upon the scene with their self-titled, platinum-certified debut album in 1992, Jackyl has made a name for themselves as a killer live band that delivers night after night, and has continued to offer up good old fashioned blues boogie over the years, as evidenced on such subsequent albums as 1994’s gold-certified ‘Push Comes to Shove,’ all the way to their most recent release, 2016’s ‘ROWYCO.’ “It’s not about coming to see a Jackyl show, it’s about coming to be a part of it,” Says Jesse Dupree.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 14, 2012 JESSE JAMES DUPREE AND SON NIGEL DUPREE CELEBRATE FATHERS DAY WITH SIMULTANEOUS SINGLE RELEASES TO RADIO Jackyl's "Screwdriver" and Nigel Dupree's "Tumbleweed" Set June 26 Add Dates JACKYL'S BEST IN SHOW AND NIGEL DUPREE'S DEBUT UP TO NO GOOD TO BE RELEASED ON JULY 31 VIA MIGHTY LOUD, MAKING IT ONE OF THE GREAT FATHER / SON MOMENTS IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK Atlanta, GA -- Jesse James Dupree has announced the July 31st release of Jackyl's Best In Show via his label Mighty Loud (Fontana). The same day, the company will street the debut from his son Nigel Dupree titled Up To No Good. In celebration of Father's Day, each will issue a single to radio, Jackyl's "Screwdriver" and Nigel Dupree's "Tumbleweed," each set with an add date at radio of June 26. Jesse James Dupree emphasizes, "You have to raise them to ROCK." Multi-platinum selling Jackyl has long since validated itself as one of America's most loved rock bands. Specialists in down and dirty blue-collar rock and roll, Jackyl's legacy of its wild, untamed and uncouth approach to rock 'n' roll is well established. The band hit the scene in 1990, and immediately began firing off rock radio hits like "Down On Me," "When Will It Rain," "I Stand Alone," and most notably, "The Lumberjack" during which Dupree performs a chain-saw solo. The introduction of Jackyl's fifth instrument on album and in concert quickly became one of the band's many trademarks as the group blazed a path to infamy, sharing the stage with Aerosmith, Kiss, ZZ Top, Ted Nugent and Damn Yankees and working with industry heavyweights such as John Kalodner.
