POLS 101 Elementary Polish TTh 1:15 – 2:30 pm Bożena Nowicka McLees This beginners course introduces students to useful Polish phrases and vocabulary, basic grammar, phonetics, and spelling. We will explore aspects of Polish history and culture.

POLS 102-001 Elementary MWF 12:10 – 1:00 pm Agnieszka Oskiera POLS 102-002 Elementary TTh 9:45 – 11:00 am Aleksandra Majkowska- This beginners course focuses on improving students’ ability to understand, speak, read and write by practicing useful phrases, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and sentence structure. It includes elements of Polish history, politics, economy, literature and culture. POLS 104 Intermediate MWF 1:30 – 2:20 pm Agnieszka Oskiera This course aims to further develop and improve students’ ability to speak, read, and write Polish. The focus will be on new vocabulary and idiomatic phrases while using proper grammar and spelling. Topics for discussion will include elements of Polish history, culture, identity, and contemporary life style.

POLS 202 Polish Medical Terminology TTh 11:30 – 12:45 pm Aleksandra Majkowska-Smith This course is designed for students in pre-med curriculum as well as for medical/healthcare majors and minors. Students will learn medical terminology, parts of the body, physiology, names and symptoms of most common diseases and addictions. POLS 270 Contemporary Polish Culture (in Polish) TTh 2:30 – 3:45 Bożena Nowicka McLees Students will practice Polish language skills in conversation with their classmates and through close reading of various texts while exploring contemporary culture in Poland and the Polish American community.
