Q: If Frodo and Sam are in the same space, and the attack Frodo, but Sam takes his place, what happens? Do the Orcs immediately defeat Sam (as the first attacked character)? A: Yes. Same counts as the first attacked character, and is immediately defeated.

Q:During a combat both sides played their Magic card. The Dark player must resolve his Magic card first so he picks The Eye of . Does his Eye of Sauron then cancel out the Good player's Magic card A: Yes.

Q:Can the Flying Nazgul move sideways in the mountains to attack a single Good character? A: Yes. This is the only time a character can move from one mountain space to another.

Q: When defeats an enemy character, she is immediately returned to . What happens if there are one or more Good characters in Gondor? A: If any Good characters occupy Gondor, Shelob attacks them immediately. This battle happens during the current player's turn so attacking with Shelob in this manner does not count as the Dark player's turn. Shelob is considered the attacker so, just as in a normal attack, the Dark player chooses who to attack if there is more than one Good character on the space. Example: The Good player moves into and encounters Shelob. Shelob defeats Gandalf and is instantly moved to Gondor which is occupied by two Good characters. The Dark player chooses the first character to fight. He picks Frodo and the Good player decides to use Frodo's ability and retreat sideways. Now Shelob must attack the second character. After the battle, the Good player's turn is over and the Dark player begins his turn.

Q: (strength 4) faces the (strength 2) and plays the Elven Cloak (ignore the efects of number cards played by the Dark player). The Dark Player has played Magic (substitute Magic for a card from the discard). The Dark player chooses a strength 6 card. Does the Elven Cloak still have its efect and who wins the combat? A: Aragorn. The Elven Cloak is in efect for the entire turn it is played and cancels out the Dark player's strength 6 card.
