He's not only someone who makes great music; he's someone to believe in. The only complaint to aim at this debut is its brevity. So, it would seem that Steve Earle would be an obvious crossover choice, but like Springsteen and so many others, maybe he is better off sticking to the medium he knows. Doghouse Roses: Stories Writer The themes are familiar The first story and title of the book 'Doghouse Roses' should come as no suprise to anyone familiar with Earle's lifestory. It could be professional jealousy, as J. I am almost suspicious, but knowing his back story; this collection could only have been put together by him. He assimilated all of their strengths and weaknesses, and any virtue he possessed was learned from one woman or another, a consolation prize bestowed on him at their parting. Books Bishakh Som's 'Spellbound' Is an Innovative Take on the Graphic Memoir Bishakh's Som's graphic memoir, Spellbound , serves as a reminder that trans memoirs need not hinge on transition narratives, or at least not on the ones we are used to seeing.
