Anfíbios Anuros e Neoregelia cruenta (Bromeliaceae) na Restinga de Maricá, Maricá - RJ Piktor Benmaman, Ricardo Alves da Silva, Alexandre F. Banberg de Araújo e Hélio Ricardo da Silva. Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro ([email protected]) Introdução As plantas da família Bromeliaceae figuram entre as mais comuns e que melhor caracterizam as restingas do sudeste brasileiro (Araujo & Henriques 1984). Entre estas plantas, as fitotelmata - que acumulam água entre as folhas (Frank 1983), parecem estar ligadas à estruturação das restingas, uma vez que oferecem condições favoráveis a germinação das sementes de várias espécies, permitindo a formação da estrutura de moitas (Hay e Lacerda 1980). Além disto, muitos estudos indicam que as bromélias são também responsáveis pela manutenção de parte da diversidade de animais nesses ambientes, uma vez que muitas espécies de invertebrados (Santos 1984) e vertebrados (Oliveira, Rocha e Bagnallo 1994) utilizam o espaço entre as folhas para se abrigar, alimentar e reproduzir. Entre os vertebrados, os anfíbios anuros são, aparentemente, os mais fortemente associados e dependentes de bromeliáceas, apresentando graus diferenciados de relação com plantas desta família, com espécies bromelígenas, que têm todas as fases da vida associadas a bromélias, e outras que têm diferentes graus de associação (Peixoto 1995). Embora existam na literatura muitos trabalhos que investigaram algum aspecto da associação entre anfíbios anuros e bromeliáceas (Schineider e Teixeira 2001), pouco se sabe sobre os padrões de utilização destas plantas, existindo ainda muitas dúvidas sobre a preferência na escolha das plantas pelos anuros. Este trabalho investiga a relação entre anfíbios anuros e a bromélia Neoregelia cruenta (Bromeliaceae) em um trecho da Restinga de Maricá, RJ. -

Accordingly, we recorded the diversity of thrips (Insecta: Thysanoptera) associated with a restinga fragment located on the campus of the State University of Ceará (UECE), Fortaleza, Ceará state, and computed the estimated richness and diversity indices. Samples were collected from 2011 through 2013 from flowers of 86 plant species. The material was taken to the Laboratory of Insect-Plant Interaction, where thrips were screened under stereomicroscope. We collected 456 adults and 58 immatures, representing 14 species, in addition to one unidentified species ofTreherniella . Microcephalothrips abdominalis was found on a large number of host plants, and Frankliniella insularis was the most common species. -

Although most biogeographic divisions used herein. Dabei fanden sich inhalte in 73.19 % der mägen, 37 waren leer. Die Gesamtzahl fest - gestellter mageninhalts objekte betrug 480, von denen 392 tierische und 88 keine tierischen objekte darstellten. Die beutetierkategorien, die 16 ordnungen aus zwei stämmen (Annelida und Arthropoda) umfaßten, waren ungleichmäßig über die fünf Klassen Arachnida, Chilopoda, insecta, malacostraca und oligochaeta verteilt, wobei insecta am häufigsten vertreten waren. in allen mägen lag die relative häufigkeit der vorkommenden beutetier- kategorien (% Fo i) unter 50 %, ein hinweis auf eine artlich vielfältige nahrungszusammensetzung bei P. syriacus . schaufelfüße bevorzugten Coleoptera, Diptera und hymenoptera als nahrung. -

Amphibians provide provisioning services by serving as a food source for some human societies, especially in Southeast Asia. They also serve as models in medical research and provide potential for new pharmaceuticals such as analgesics and anti-viral drugs derived from skin secretions. Amphibians contribute to regulating services by reducing mosquito recruitment from ephemeral wetlands, potentially controlling other pest species, and indirectly through predation of insect pollinators. Often neglected, ecosystems also provide cultural services to human societies that increase the quality of human life through recreation, religion, spirituality, and aesthetics. As an abundant and diverse class of vertebrates, amphibians also play prominent roles in the culture of human societies through pathways such as mythology, literature, and art. Most research on the role of amphibians in ecosystems has been on their contribution to supporting services. This is also the area where amphibians are likely to have the largest contribution to ecosystem services. Supporting services have structural (e.g., habitat) and functional (e.g., ecosystem functions and processes) components. -
