U.S. OFFICER No, it’s a plane in pieces. Every bolt, every screw, every electrical connection... every sandwich, everything has been disassembled. We’ve even got the — the waste matter. He begins moving things around, showing them to Marianne and causing a CLANGING that drowns out parts of their conversation. U.S. OFFICER (CONT'D) This is a... came into commission two-thousand..., so, you know, comparatively new... Marianne stops at a table. MARIANNE What’s that? U.S. OFFICER That’s the pilot’s manifest. 7.4 INT. RORY’S APARTMENT — NEW YORK — NIGHT 7.4 Rory’s phone rings. The call is recorded as if by a third party — Rory and Petra’s voices are both coming through the telephone. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 6.

RORY Petra, hi. I know I said I’d get back to you about the settlement, but — PETRA It’s not about that. Is this line secure? RORY (thrown) What? PETRA Your phone, Rory. Is it secure? Could anyone have cloned it, be monitoring you? RORY (still thrown) Like who? PETRA I don’t know, Homeland Security’s real-life version of Carrie fucking Matheson maybe — whoever’s interested in whatever you’re up to. Still up to, I should say. RORY I don’t know what you’re talking — PETRA No, listen. Listen. Regarding 702. I’ve come across some info that might be of interest to you. RORY Hang on — what happened to, “Back off, Rory, or we’ll destroy your career?” PETRA Call it my contingency plan. If you are onto something and it gets out, you’d better remember who helped you out on this. Deal? Rory SIGHS. RORY Deal. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 7.

PETRA Good. Now run some water or put some music on to mask what I’m saying, just in case you’re being monitored. RORY Does — does that actually work? PETRA Just do it. The sound of Rory running the shower...

7.5 INT. KAITLIN’S ROOM 7.5 AUDIO SOURCE: Kaitlin’s phone. The beep of Kaitlin’s voicemail inbox. AUTOMATED VOICE Message received Wednesday, December 2nd, 9:27 p.m. RORY Hi, Kaitlin, it’s, um... it’s Rory. Listen, I know we left things kind of up in the air... But I — there’s something you need to know. (beat) Since we parted company, I’ve been thinking about Marianne and the recording she sent you, and digging around a bit on my own. And... Greenland, I think the plane’s in Greenland. Kaitlin grabs the phone. KAITLIN Rory? RORY Hi, Kaitlin. How have you been? KAITLIN They’ve been saying the wreckage is off the coast of Greenland for weeks. What makes this different? RORY Look, um, one of my contacts — um, someone from — well, never mind, it’s — it’s not important. (MORE) PASSENGER LIST 2.07 8. RORY (CONT'D) They heard about a lawsuit over in Greenland that’s being handled by a colleague of ours. The day 702 went missing, someone was hit by a piece of flying debris. This person said they saw an airplane flying low — too low. KAITLIN A passenger plane? RORY Yes. And then a piece of metal shattered their windshield. (beat) They think it crashed, Kaitlin. They heard an explosion — what they think was an explosion — a loud boom. KAITLIN OK, I need a location. Greenland’s a big country. RORY That’s all they had, I’m afraid. KAITLIN OK, thanks. RORY Look, Kaitlin. Can we...? KAITLIN No. RORY OK, I get that. You don’t trust me. I get it. But I’m reaching out an olive branch. (beat) You should call Jim Dennison. I got him out. KAITLIN You got him out? RORY Yeah. Maybe if you won’t take my help, you’ll take his. I’m sending you his number now. Her phone pings. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 9.

RORY (CONT'D) And if there’s anything else you need... KAITLIN Yeah. Thanks, Rory. She hangs up. Beep. Ring tone. Click. AUTOMATED VOICE The number you have dialed is not in service. Please try again later. BEEP. Kaitlin presses numbers on the keypad of her phone. We hear a sound — something like a satellite phone trying to make a connection with an old modem. KAITLIN Thomas, it’s me. I know that you’re still hiding, but you need to call me back. Everything’s starting to click together and I need — Conor needs your help. I have to get to Greenland, but Homeland Security is still looking for me. Hell, everyone is looking for me and I — (beat) I’m going. I want you to come with me, but with your help or not... I’m finding a way. She hangs up.

7.6 INT. CAFE 7.6 AUDIO SOURCE: Kaitlin’s phone. A cozy cafe in New York. JIM DENNISON, weary and rattled, is tucked into a corner table. When he sees Kaitlin approaching, he stands. DENNISON Hey — Kaitlin — KAITLIN Agent Dennison — DENNISON (awkward) Not “agent” anymore. Jim is fine. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 10.

They do a brief and awkward “do we shake hands? Do we hug?” shuffle. KAITLIN (smiling) Jim. They both laugh awkwardly. KAITLIN (CONT'D) How are you? DENNISON Not great, obviously. But better, now that I’m not in a forced psychiatric hold. KAITLIN Right. DENNISON Did you — did you want to sit down, or...? KAITLIN Uh... yes, thank you. Sure. DENNISON OK. They both take a seat. DENNISON (CONT'D) I feel like I should apologize, Kaitlin. KAITLIN Uh... What, why? DENNISON Well, um... For the last time we saw each other. I — I was, um... I was in a very dark place. And I — I worry that I — I scared you. KAITLIN You didn’t scare me. DENNISON All that talk about shadows and biological weapons and — PASSENGER LIST 2.07 11.

KAITLIN Yeah, but you were right, Jim. I mean, I think you were right about all of it. (then, quieter) Look, I’ve been given a tip. A good tip, from a reliable source. I — DENNISON Who? Rory? KAITLIN There’s a — there’s a woman. Her name is Marianne. I think she’s in Greenland right now, investigating what happened to the flight, and — DENNISON W— what, all the wreckage they found? It’s definitely 702? KAITLIN She’s not investigating the wreckage. She’s interviewing passengers. (then, unable to hold in her excitement any longer) She talked to my brother. DENNISON What? KAITLIN She talked to Conor, yeah! He’s alive. She’s giddy, just for a moment. Saying it out loud is heady. DENNISON He’s — are you sure? KAITLIN I’m positive. DENNISON Emily? This deflates her a bit. KAITLIN I — I don’t know. I’m sorry. But I’m going to find out. I’m going to Greenland. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 12.

DENNISON What? KAITLIN Marianne, she’s on our side. She can help me. (then) And I was hoping maybe you could help me, too. Look, I need papers — a new passport, a ticket — and I — I was hoping that maybe I — I mean, I know you used to be a Fed, but it’s not like it’s the first time an FBI agent would be breaking the law, and — DENNISON Is — is — is Rory going with you? I mean, he had mentioned that you two had... KAITLIN Yeah, uh... (beat) He had his uses, but I don’t know if I can trust him. (then) I don’t need Rory. OK? I just — I need to get to Greenland. DENNISON OK. OK, I’ll do it. I’ll — I’ll get whatever you need. On one condition. KAITLIN What? DENNISON I’m coming with you. KAITLIN Look, I... I really appreciate the offer, but you just got out of three months in a psychiatric hospital. Are you sure you’re up for this? DENNISON Are you kidding me? Before I was at the Bureau, I was in the Army. Special Forces. You don’t lose that, Kaitlin. I’ve still got it. And I can still do it. A beat, then we hear the sound of an airplane. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 13.

7.7 INT. GREENLAND — GATE 7.7 AUDIO SOURCE: Thomas’ phone. Thomas sits in the waiting area near a gate, on the phone with a contact. AIRPORT LOUDSPEAKER Passengers arriving for Flight 340 from New York, JFK, your baggage carousel is Number 7. GUIDE When would you need it? THOMAS I’m hoping in a few hours from now, but I’m not sure. I’m still waiting for someone. GUIDE This isn’t a simple request, you know. THOMAS I know. But I promise, I’ll return the favor. GUIDE That’s no good to me if you get caught. THOMAS So I won’t get caught. GUIDE Thomas... THOMAS Just leave it waiting for us. And we’ll go when it’s dark. GUIDE (scoffing) That’s not my concern. It’s always dark here. THOMAS But — GUIDE I’ll take you. I can’t get you inside. But I can get you close. (MORE) PASSENGER LIST 2.07 14. GUIDE (CONT'D) Show you the terrain. Show you what I know. What I saw. Thomas considers. THOMAS Fine. AIRPORT LOUDSPEAKER Flight 340 now arriving, Gate 7B. THOMAS Gotta go. I’ll text you when we’re nearby. Thomas hangs up. CUT TO: AUDIO SOURCE: Kaitlin’s phone. We hear baggage wheels rolling loudly across the airport floor. KAITLIN (excited) Thomas? Kaitlin rushes toward Thomas. KAITLIN (CONT'D) Oh my god, Thomas — She stops a few feet away from him, hesitant. KAITLIN (CONT'D) How — how did you — where did you — how — THOMAS I only got your message yesterday. KAITLIN (pointed) Which one? THOMAS I got on a plane as soon as I could, OK? I’ve been here for about four hours, just waiting outside for flights arriving from New York. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 15.

KAITLIN (touched) That’s, um... (then, pissed) Where the fuck have you been? THOMAS Lying low. Like we both were supposed to be doing. Kaitlin, I wish — (then, quietly, seeing Jim) Let — let’s move over here — KAITLIN No, no. It’s OK. He’s with me. Jim steps forward. KAITLIN (CONT'D) Jim Dennison, Thomas Rider. DENNISON Hi, how are you? THOMAS Dennison. The FBI agent? Kait... (scoffs) You brought a Fed with you? DENNISON Former Fed, actually. They don’t tend to take you back once you’ve been forced into a mental hospital. So... KAITLIN Thomas, I wouldn’t have gotten here without him. He got us passports, the flights — he’s just as invested in this as we are. He has just as much at stake. Thomas and Jim consider each other for a second before: THOMAS Fine. What’s your plan to get through immigration? KAITLIN Uh... we’ve got passports. Just two Americans taking advantage of an airline deal. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 16.

THOMAS Traveling together? DENNISON No, we were gonna go separately. If something goes wrong, hopefully one of us will still get through. KAITLIN It’s Greenland, not Fort Knox. How suspicious are they going to be? THOMAS Right. Dennison, you go ahead first. Kait, you’re with me. KAITLIN What, why? THOMAS If they start asking questions, I know how to answer them. KAITLIN Thomas, I’m not new at this, OK? THOMAS And I’m not letting you do any of this alone... Not anymore.

7.8 INT. IMMIGRATION BOOTH — GREENLAND AIRPORT 7.8 AUDIO SOURCE: Security booth recording. IMMIGRATION OFFICER Purpose of visit? THOMAS (smiling big) We’re eloping. IMMIGRATION OFFICER In the middle of winter? KAITLIN We’ve been doing long-distance for a year now and we couldn’t wait another second. THOMAS And this one is absolutely nuts for the Northern Lights. So, I couldn’t resist marrying her under them. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 17.

This officer does not care. IMMIGRATION OFFICER How long are you planning on staying? KAITLIN (giddily) Uh, just a week or so, and then off to Europe for our honeymoon. THOMAS Got to take advantage of those airline deals, right love? KAITLIN (beaming) Uh-huh. The officer stamps their passports. IMMIGRATION OFFICER All right... Go on through. Security booth recording ends. CUT TO: AUDIO SOURCE: Kaitlin’s phone. Thomas and Kaitlin take their passports and walk through. KAITLIN See? I told you, not Fort Knox. THOMAS It’s always better to be prepared. KAITLIN Whatever you say, love. Dennison sees them and approaches. DENNISON Everything go OK? THOMAS All good. DENNISON All right. I looked it up, and Rory’s contact is only thirty minutes from here, so... KAITLIN OK. Great. Let’s grab a cab. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 18.

THOMAS Well, I’ve got a contact as well — a little further out. I’ve already booked a car rental. (to Jim) I can drop you on the way. KAITLIN What kind of contact? THOMAS Someone who can get us close. KAITLIN Close to what? Thomas lets that question hang meaningfully in the air. KAITLIN (CONT'D) Oh. OK, Jim can you see the lawyer on your own? I’ll go with Thomas, and then we’ll meet up tonight at the hotel and figure out next steps. DENNISON Well, uh... Don’t you think your contact could wait half an hour? I mean, I think it’s best we all stick together. THOMAS It’s Greenland in December, we’re operating with very limited daylight hours here. DENNISON OK. Then, Kaitlin, you should come with me. KAITLIN Why? DENNISON I don’t know what you’re trying to get close to, but I have a feeling it’s a lot less safe than a lawyer’s office. KAITLIN Jim, I — DENNISON I brought you here, it’s my job to protect you. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 19.

KAITLIN No, I brought you here. You just did the paperwork, OK? THOMAS We’re wasting time... DENNISON I can’t let you get hurt, Kaitlin. KAITLIN (disbelievingly) Do I have “adopt me” stamped on my forehead or something? DENNISON What? KAITLIN Never mind. (then) Jim, I — I’m going with Thomas. He’s a spy for god’s sake. We’ll be fine. Go talk to the lawyer. Kaitlin starts to walk off. DENNISON But I — I just — I — I really... Thomas — THOMAS (to Jim) I’ll take care of her. KAITLIN (turning back, annoyed) Oh my god, hurry up or I’m leaving you both behind.

7.9 INT. JEEP — AN HOUR LATER 7.9 AUDIO SOURCE: Kaitlin’s phone. Kaitlin and Thomas ride side by side in a jeep through the Greenland countryside. Thomas drives. Things are tense. Kaitlin fidgets, tapping her fingernails on the car door. THOMAS Kait — She stops. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 20.

KAITLIN Sorry. I — I’m just... THOMAS I know. It’s only another twenty minutes or so. KAITLIN Are you sure this guy’s gonna be there? Can we trust him? THOMAS He’s an old contact. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen him, but we can trust him. (beat) Oh. Before I forget — Thomas reaches into his bag and hands Kaitlin a GoPro. THOMAS (CONT'D) Here. KAITLIN What’s this for? THOMAS Clip it on your jacket. KAITLIN Thomas, I’m already recording — I’m always recording. Why — THOMAS We’re about to head into the Greenland wilderness. There won’t be any cell service, it will be absolutely freezing, probably very windy, and overall, incredibly harsh. KAITLIN (dry) OK... Sounds like fun. Kaitlin turns the GoPro on and clips it to her jacket. THOMAS That little camera is made to withstand harsh conditions. Your iPhone isn’t. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 21.

KAITLIN OK, OK, I get it. I don’t need the whole lecture. THOMAS Are you sure? What was the plan, Kaitlin? Show up in Greenland and just ask to see Conor? KAITLIN The plan was to talk to Rory’s contact, gather what info we can, and then... THOMAS Then? Beat. KAITLIN You know, you’ve been gone the past few months and I’ve been doing just fine without you. I told you all along that Conor was still alive, and I was right. Would it kill you to give me some credit? THOMAS (frustrated sigh) I just want us to keep our heads. Think before we act. Beat. Kaitlin extends an olive branch. KAITLIN Look, I know we still have to get in and a lot of things could go wrong, but it’s OK to be hopeful, Thomas. THOMAS (soft) What if he’s not there? KAITLIN What? THOMAS We don’t know what could have happened to him — KAITLIN No. No, you can’t — you can’t think like that, OK? Marianne told me he was OK. That he was alive. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 22.

THOMAS But how do we know that we can trust her? KAITLIN We don’t! But it doesn’t matter. If I only talked to people who I trusted completely, then I wouldn’t be — (catching herself before she says she wouldn’t be with Thomas) We don’t have a choice, OK? This is the closest we’ve gotten and we have to keep going. THOMAS I know, I know, I just... Beat. The road rumbles beneath them. KAITLIN What? What is it, Thomas? What aren’t you telling me? THOMAS If we don’t do this right — if we don’t do this perfectly — and something happens to Conor... I can’t fail him again. KAITLIN You’re not going to fail him. You haven’t failed him — you never stopped looking, just like me — THOMAS I’m the reason he was on that plane. (beat) And... I think I might be the reason it came down. KAITLIN What do you mean? THOMAS He was spying on the Elysians for me. Infiltrating them when I couldn’t. And he found out they were planning something — something on Flight 702. So he got a ticket. I got him the ticket. (MORE) PASSENGER LIST 2.07 23. THOMAS (CONT'D) MI6 had found out that I was dating one of the people I was supposed to be investigating, and this was our way to smooth things over. Stop whatever the Elysians wanted to do with 702, apprehend someone in the organization, prove to MI6 that me and Conor were on the right side of things. KAITLIN Thomas, why — THOMAS (growing more upset) Conor was supposed to check in every hour. And when he missed his second drop, I panicked! So I told MI6, I told them about our completely unsanctioned, very below-board mission, and they took his silence as a sign that something had gone wrong. KAITLIN What? THOMAS That there really was a terrorist on board. KAITLIN What are you saying? THOMAS I’ve been working this whole time trying to figure out what, exactly, happened to 702 because I think... I think they shot it down. I think they shot it down because I told them something was happening. I got nervous and 200 people died. (then) That’s what happens when you don’t stop and think, Kaitlin. People die. Beat. Then, Kaitlin laughs darkly. KAITLIN Are you fucking kidding me, Thomas? All this time — you’ve been thinking this the whole time, and you’re telling me now? PASSENGER LIST 2.07 24.

THOMAS I didn’t want to believe that I could have had something to do with it. I didn’t want to think that my own government would sacrifice 200 people to take down one terrorist! But — KAITLIN But they could have! And you knew! I’ve spent all this time chasing down every possible lead, and you’re telling me it might have been your own fucking agency? THOMAS I don’t know for certain! I didn’t want to give you a half-baked piece of information. KAITLIN That’s all I’ve had this entire time. Just crumbs. And if — THOMAS For all I know, it wasn’t the government at all. If there really was an Elysian on board, who knows what they could have done. KAITLIN And that would have been a pretty useful crumb too. (then) You know, I am really sick of every man I know treating me like a child— THOMAS Oh don’t give me that, Kait. I don’t try to parent you. KAITLIN I don’t see how you could, being all of five years older. THOMAS But you are 21. KAITLIN So was Conor! And you had him out there infiltrating terrorist cells! THOMAS And look at how that turned out. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 25.

Beat. KAITLIN (quieter) Don’t let your fear dictate what you tell me, Thomas. It isn’t fair. (beat) After everything we’ve been through, you still don’t trust me. THOMAS That’s not true. KAITLIN Oh really? Because I don’t keep those kinds of secrets from you, Thomas. THOMAS My job is keeping secrets, Kait. I was engaged to Conor and there was plenty I didn’t tell him. KAITLIN Well, I guess you’ve disappointed both the Le twins then. Congrats. The jeep slows down. KAITLIN (CONT'D) What are you doing? THOMAS (stopping the jeep) We’re here. From outside they hear the voice of the Guide. GUIDE (leaning into the window) Park up over here — behind my truck. We hear the jeep going forward a little further, then stopping. Kaitlin and Thomas get out. THOMAS Kaitlin, this is Jann, who I was telling you about. He’s got something to show us. GUIDE You got plenty of warm clothes? PASSENGER LIST 2.07 26.

KAITLIN Sure. GUIDE Good. We go on the snowmobiles from here. Come... We hear them getting onto snowmobiles and kicking their engines to life.

7.10 INT. OFFICE 7.10 AUDIO SOURCE: Dennison’s recorder. Dennison sits down across from a Greenlandic lawyer, MALIINA JENSEN. She’s harried, moving through her tiny office and putting files away through the top of their conversation. JENSEN And who did you say sent you? DENNISON Uh, Rory Murray. JENSEN (to herself, sardonic) Rory Murray... now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. DENNISON He said you both worked on a case a few years back, something to do — something to do with... um... JENSEN Airport. DENNISON Yeah. JENSEN I remember. DENNISON Yeah... He said you might be able to help me. JENSEN Oh, did he now? Nice to know he remembered my name, I suppose, even if he seemed to lose my phone number rather quickly. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 27.

DENNISON Ah. JENSEN If Rory wants to go after Greenlandair, or whatever else — DENNISON No, no, it’s not about a Greenlandic airline. (deep breath) It’s about Atlantic Airlines Flight 702. That stops Jensen from her busy work. She sits down. JENSEN Ah. Of course it is. That’s just the sort of case he’d go for. (beat) So you and Rory — you’re suing Atlantic Airlines, I take it? DENNISON No, I’m not actually — I’m not a lawyer. JENSEN Then who are you? DENNISON I used to work for the government. The American government. Jensen leans back in her chair. JENSEN Ah. (tapping her pen on her desk) And what exactly do you think I can do for you? DENNISON Um... Rory heard that you were working an injury case. JENSEN I work on a lot of injury cases — DENNISON Of someone who got hit by flying debris from a plane crash. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 28.

Beat. JENSEN If that were a case I was working on, I’d imagine it would be quite... confidential. People don’t get hit by falling debris very often. DENNISON Especially from flights that disappeared without a trace. JENSEN Flight 702 was found in the Atlantic. DENNISON Which is why it’s odd that you have a client who was hit by flying debris while driving a car. On land. Miles away from the Atlantic. (beat) Now, I’m not an aviation expert, but two plus two isn’t adding up to four for me here. JENSEN I think you’ll find that no part of this equation bears out the way you think it will. DENNISON So you are involved with this case? Beat. JENSEN I don’t know how Rory gets this information, I really don’t. DENNISON Well, he’s very determined. JENSEN You must be as well, to come all this way. DENNISON My daughter was on 702. JENSEN Oh. (then) I’m very sorry for your loss. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 29.

DENNISON So you think the plane crashed, then? JENSEN It’s not my job to determine what happened to Flight 702. The only thing I care about is getting someone to pay for my client’s medical bills and car repairs. DENNISON I’m surprised Atlantic Airlines hasn’t already settled. I’d imagine they’d want a case like yours to go away as quickly and quietly as possible. JENSEN You assume I’m suing the airline? DENNISON You’re not? JENSEN A lot of people are liable for what happened to 702. DENNISON What do you mean? JENSEN What exactly is your plan, if you don’t mind me asking? You’ve come all the way to Greenland — why? To find definitively what happened to 702? I’ve been doing this for many months, and I can’t find my way through the tangle of information. You are one man, far from home. I can’t help you, and you can’t go up against this alone. DENNISON I’m not alone.

7.11 EXT. TUNDRA 7.11 AUDIO SOURCE: GoPro attached to Kaitlin’s jacket. The opposite of Jensen’s small and warm office — a relentless, freezing cold tundra. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 30.

The GUIDE that Thomas spoke to earlier on the phone leads Thomas and Kaitlin over the expanse of ice and snow on two snowmobiles, the second driven by Thomas. KAITLIN (shouting over the noise) How much further? GUIDE (shouting back) It’s just up here! Thomas turns his head to call back to Kaitlin, who is holding onto him — not as loud as the previous shouts, but still having to speak over the noise of the engine and wind. THOMAS You all right? KAITLIN Yeah, fine. (beat) When’d you learn to drive one of these things? THOMAS I’m a spy, remember? KAITLIN You sit at a computer, Thomas. THOMAS My parents and I used to go to the Alps for the holidays. KAITLIN Oh! Well, la-di-da! The rumble of engines as they turn and then slow down. Kaitlin, Thomas, and the Guide dismount the snowmobiles and look over — what else — a field of snow. It’s very cold, but not actively snowing at the moment — instead, a quiet and still afternoon. Keep in mind: this is Greenland in December, so there’s maybe four hours of daylight on any given day. KAITLIN (CONT'D) God, I can barely feel my face. Kaitlin is breathless as she gets off the snowmobile, finding her footing again and taking in the scenery. KAITLIN (CONT'D) Where are we? PASSENGER LIST 2.07 31.

GUIDE Four miles from . THOMAS And this is where you saw it? GUIDE Clear as day. A passenger airplane, fire and smoke coming from its tail, falling out of the sky. THOMAS You’re sure it was a passenger plane? GUIDE Positive. You know how many military planes I see coming across this land? My whole life, your government has been treating our land like it’s theirs. KAITLIN (scoffing) Yeah, they have a habit of doing that. (then) You live near here? GUIDE About two miles south. KAITLIN Whose land are we on now? GUIDE Greenland’s. KAITLIN This is public land? GUIDE All of Greenland is for everyone. No one owns private property here. We share. THOMAS Except Thule. GUIDE Except Thule. That day, I followed the plane as far as I could on my snowmobile. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 32.

KAITLIN What were you doing out here? GUIDE Hunting. At least until all the animals got scared away by the noise. KAITLIN Did you see where the plane landed? GUIDE It didn’t land. It crashed. KAITLIN No, no — no, it didn’t. At least some of the passengers survived. GUIDE Maybe they did. But there was an explosion. I could hear it, even miles behind. THOMAS Did you hear anything else? Before you saw the plane, was there, uh, gunfire? Another plane? GUIDE Not that I remember. Why? THOMAS Can you take us to the crash site? GUIDE No. This is as far as I can go. THOMAS Then tell us where it is. We’ll go on our own. GUIDE I can’t tell you that with any certainty. KAITLIN I thought you said you followed it. GUIDE As far as I could. The explosion had barely stopped when the helicopter noises started. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 33.

THOMAS The military. GUIDE Like I said, the airbase is very close. They responded quickly. THOMAS So if there were any survivors of the initial crash — KAITLIN — the military would have gotten them out quickly. (then, to Thomas, low) Look, he’s alive, Thomas. I heard him. THOMAS (to Kaitlin) All right. (beat. Then, to the Guide) All right, if you can’t take us to the crash site, then we’ll go to the airbase. GUIDE You can’t go to the airbase — KAITLIN Just point us in the right direction. We’ll pay you for the snowmobile. GUIDE So you both have a death wish. Kaitlin and Thomas look at each other. Yep. KAITLIN (lightly) “Death wish” is a bit much. GUIDE You have to stop and think about this before you go storming in — KAITLIN (stern) No. The snowmobile engine kicks on. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 34.

GUIDE (shouting over the engine) You’re both crazy. If the military doesn’t get you, you will die of exposure — Kaitlin and Thomas zoom off on the snowmobile, leaving the Guide’s warnings behind them.

7.12 INT. HOTEL 7.12 AUDIO SOURCE: Dennison’s phone. Dennison talks to Rory as he walks through hotel hallways to his room. DENNISON Yeah, no, they’re out there now. They should be back soon, I think. RORY I’m sorry that Maliina wasn’t more helpful. Guess she’s still a bit miffed with me. DENNISON It sure seems like it. But it wasn’t unhelpful. If there are witnesses to the plane crashing here, then... RORY And if the government has been trying to keep those witnesses quiet... DENNISON Exactly — the more cracks in the armor, the better. An elevator PINGS its arrival. RORY So what’s next? Dennison turns a corner into a new hallway. There are murmurs of two men talking down the hall. DENNISON Well, I just got to the hotel so, for me, a very hot shower before Thomas and Kaitlin get back. And then tomorrow, we’ll try to get onto the airbase, I think. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 35.

Dennison takes notice of the men — they’re wearing uniforms and standing outside his room. He ducks into a different hallway. RORY Are you sure that’s smart? Just to go in there, all guns blazing? (beat) Who am I kidding, Kaitlin’s there. Of course that’s the plan. We hear Dennison breathing heavily. RORY (CONT'D) Jim? Jim, are you there? DENNISON (whispering) The military, they’re here. RORY What? DENNISON Outside my room. RORY Did they see you? DENNISON I don’t — I don’t think so. RORY You need to get out of there. DENNISON I need to warn Kaitlin and Thomas. Before we can see if Dennison gets nabbed or if he manages to escape — CUT TO:

7.13 EXT. TUNDRA 7.13 AUDIO SOURCE: Kaitlin’s GoPro. The rumble of the snowmobile comes to a stop as Thomas and Kaitlin come into view of the airbase. They hop off the snowmobile, taking in the new terrain. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 36.

THOMAS Let’s leave the snowmobiles here. Go the rest of the way on foot. (a long beat, then) Oh, fuck, it’s cold. KAITLIN Who cares! Conor is down there. We’re gonna see him. We’re actually gonna see him. THOMAS (nervous) Yeah. KAITLIN Have a little hope, Thomas. Nothing else matters if we find him. THOMAS Right. Thomas takes a few steps forward, the snow crunching beneath his boots, as he looks out over the base. THOMAS (CONT'D) God, this place is enormous. Kaitlin starts walking determinedly toward the base, Thomas following her. KAITLIN OK. We just need to figure out a way in, and then we’ll find Marianne. Look, if she’s talked to Conor, she’ll know exactly where on the base he’s being kept. THOMAS Is that your version of a plan? KAITLIN OK, you really want to take a moment to make the perfect plan when Conor is feet away from us? THOMAS No. (then) Fuck thinking it through. KAITLIN (smiling) There you go. PASSENGER LIST 2.07 37.

They trudge along for a few steps. Then — Huge lights suddenly come on, and the sound of an approaching helicopter blocks everything else out. The voice of an AGENT comes over the helicopter speaker. AGENT Stop where you are and get on the ground. THOMAS Shit! KAITLIN Run! The frantic sound of Thomas and Kaitlin running along the snow, the helicopter chasing them. THOMAS Kait! AGENT You are trespassing on U.S. government property. KAITLIN Come on! More chaos of running, breathing, helicopter sounds. AGENT Stop where you are, or we are authorized to shoot. They stop running, breathing hard. The helicopter hovers. AGENT (CONT'D) Stop where you are and get on the ground. KAITLIN (to herself) Oh god... The helicopter starts to descend. CUT. MUSIC. End of Episode 7.
