Lynne Price on Behalf of Bedworth and Bulkington Neighbourhood Watch made the following statement and asked that this be relayed via Kolin Basra the Police and Crime Commissioners Ambassador back to Ron Ball.

Statement – We request the forum and the Police Crime Commissioner Ambassador relays back to the crime commissioner’s office that we as a constituted group have at no time had any monies from and Bedworth Neighbourhood Watch (NBNW) association, even under the grant funding they received via the crime commissioners grant application.

It may be said that NBNW are the umbrella group but this is not so, we are totally independent from this group and have been for a number of years, it is our request that the office of the crime commissioner recognises this, so if there is any need to engage our community they consider communicating with ourselves and if we ever have the opportunity to apply for grant funding they would also take this into consideration.

Letter to this effect also attached with the notes of the forum.

Joint Community Forums in Bedworth Cllr Chattaway as Chair of the Bede and Poplar Community Forum asked the meeting for their views regarding joining with the Bedworth North and West Community Forum, the residents present at that forum were positive about joining together.

The Chair Cllr Doughty asked the forum for their views on joining the forums.

After a long debate 3 options we put forward Option 1 to stay the same (not join) Option 2 to have 1 joint meeting with Bede and Poplar a year Option 3 to merge/join completely

People voted and the results are Option 1 - 7 votes Option 2 - 12 votes Option 3 no votes

Option 2 was chosen

To whom it may concern

In regards to my statement at the last Whitestone/Bulkington, community forum.

We request the forum and the Police Crime Commissioner Ambassador relays back to the crime commissioner’s office that we as a constituted group have at no time had any monies from Neighbourhood Watch (NBNW) association, even under the grant funding they received via the crime commissioners grant application.

We hope you look at this request with understanding and openness.
