Policing Priorities: Road – Wednesday night’s 6-7.30pm young people tipping over the bins and rubbish going everywhere – Sgt Dave Williams agreed as a priority Feedback on this priority – Extra patrols at the keys times were undertaken and one young person was spoke to by Police – this issue seems to have stopped.

Mr Ison, Head Teacher of St James Junior School – asked for assistance regarding parking on the corner of Nuneaton Road and Barbridge Road around school home time. Parents collecting children are obstructing the corner and the road making it very difficult for the school bus to drive down the road. Feedback on this priority – Police undertook 8 patrols but did not find the parking to be too bad

Local Issues from the Floor

School Parking Issue – Tamar Road people parking on the grass verges.

Road Markings – Outside Arden Forest School the white Zig Zag is wearing away and people then parking on it.

People using Mobile phones whilst driving – this was raised as an issue – Sergeant Williams said people should report it on 101 number with as much information as possible for example registration number, make of vehicle, time, date etc.

Scrap Metal Collectors Driving Around – Sergeant Williams said people should report on the 101 number with details of the vehicle such as Registration number, make of vehicle and the time and date.

Lynne Price on Behalf of Bedworth and Bulkington Neighbourhood Watch made the following statement and asked that this be relayed via Robin Wachin the Police and Crime Commissioners Ambassador back to Ron Ball.

Statement – We request the forum and the Police Crime Commissioner Ambassador relays back to the crime commissioner’s office that we as a constituted group have at no time had any monies from Neighbourhood Watch (NBNW) association, even under the grant funding they received via the crime commissioners grant application.

It may be said that NBNW are the umbrella group but this is not so, we are totally independent from this group and have been for a number of years, it is our request that the office of the crime commissioner recognises this, so if there is any need to engage our community they consider communicating with ourselves and if we ever have the opportunity to apply for grant funding they would also take this into consideration.

Letter to this effect also attached with the notes of the forum

Date of Future Meetings: Thursday 17 July 2014 from 7pm at St James Junior School Thursday 6 November 2014 from 7pm at Chetwynd Junior School

To whom it may concern

In regards to my statement at the last Whitestone/Bulkington, community forum.

We request the forum and the Police Crime Commissioner Ambassador relays back to the crime commissioner’s office that we as a constituted group have at no time had any monies from Nuneaton and Bedworth Neighbourhood Watch (NBNW) association, even under the grant funding they received via the crime commissioners grant application.

We hope you look at this request with understanding and openness.
